Hilarious sarcasm happens when Vice Ganda’s wit combines with Angelica Panganiban’s honest humor. Watch the actress’ first guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice in this throwback video.
Angelica appeared from the backstage bringing in her refreshing energy. Vice showered his guest with compliments – “maganda,” “makinis ang kutis,” “balingkinitan.” But all Angelica replied was, “Gumanda ka na ngayon” and Vice said he didn’t know if that’s supposed to make him feel flattered or insulted.
Angelica, known for her bida-kontrabida roles, shared that she’s “maarte sa bahay.” Dirt and chaos are a no-no to her. “Hindi ako mapakali. Ayos lang ako nang ayos.” Vice’s punchline: “Ang arte-arte mo sa bahay samantalang bed spacer lang naman kayo. Huwag kang pakialamera sa gusto ng may-ari.” Lol.
Angelica explained that as a busy woman, the last thing she’d like to come home to is a messy home. “Minsan ka na lang uuwi. Gusto mo ‘pag pagod ka, maganda ‘yung inuuwian mo, malinis at walang alikabok. Minsan may mga kalat lang. Nakakalat ‘yung mga shoes.”
She would rather clean up the mess than ask the house help to do it for her, to which Vice commented, “Bakit hindi na lang sila ang pag-artistahin mo? Tapos gampanan mo rin ‘yung mga ginagawa nila sa bahay. Mabait ka palang amo, eh.”
Angelica’s OC-ness seemed to have started in childhood. She was even awarded “Most Neat” when she was young. “At proud sa akin ang Nanay ko! Naka-sidecar talaga kami sa Tondo. May medal kasi ‘yun,” she said.
Her other pet peeve is when someone steps on her shoe, “Kasi malinis ako sa paa. Favorite ko ‘yung paa ko. Feeling ko ‘yun ang pinakamaganda sa akin bukod sa mukha.” Step on her shoes/feet and you’ll gain an enemy in her. Angelica’s third pet peeve is the “kalabit” or when someone pokes her.
