Looking back at the past nine years, watching Gandang Gabi Vice was always the best way to end the weekend. Vice Ganda never failed to give viewers a reason to laugh and smile. Even when feeling good meant that your favorite Kapamilya stars had to get teased and go through all sorts of funny challenges.
“Lagi po akong nabubudol niyang GGV na ‘yan,” one actress said. Apparently, the host made her cry on purpose multiple times for the sake of the ratings. Another actress became the victim of scary pranks. Some of which involved a white lady and a ghost bride. A celebrity’s name became a new dance move. The host also joked on different occasions about an artist’s voice sounding drunk.
At the end of the day, however, these moments were more than just for laughs. Lessons were learned, people’s lives were changed, and good vibes was shared all around.
Morisette Amon is thankful for her experience on GGV, even though she had to sing Regine Velasquez’s “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” in the most ridiculous way. This easily became a viral video. Not to mention, it only proved how talented Morisette is.
Another OPM artist that feels grateful for being trusted to appear on the late night talk show is Moira Dela Torre. She gave credit Vice Ganda for her helping her become successful and receiving many opportunities throughout her career, so far. “Isa ka sa key blessings ng Panginoon sa akin,” she said.
For Alex Gonzaga, visiting GGV practically became a bonding experience her and her older sister Tony Gonzaga. The Phenomenal Superstar has always supported them, especially Alex’s relationship with Mikee Morada. This is why she is a fan of the show, “Vice, you always bring us so much joy every Sunday. Maraming, maraming salamat.”
“I-Dawn Zulueta mo ako” became a trend in the past and gave a whole new meaning to the name Dawn Zulueta. Despite becoming an action word, the veteran actress is proud of the tag. Of course, she is also proud of everything her “twinie” has accomplished, “Ang dami mong pinasaya. Ang dami mong na-experience. Ang dami rin nating natutunan.”
Angelica Panganiban, who shared her personal struggles and heartbreaks on GGV, will always be thankful. Vice Ganda helped her smile through whatever obstacle in life. They laughed and cried together. But more importantly, they learned so much and inspired so many others.
In case you forgot, Kim Chiu was one of the first ever guests on GGV. She was on the first episode and she can still remember how much fun it was. The Love Thy Woman actress many have been pranked more than once but that is one of the reasons why her appearances are memorable.

He has spent many unforgettable visits on the late night show, but his personal favorite was when he had to hold a huge spider. “Vice, pagpatuloy mo pa rin ang pagpapasaya mo,” The King Of Hearts ended.
