GGV Toplist Kim Chiu

Ever since she became a regular host of “It’s Showtime” in 2020, we’ve gone to see Kim Chiu working with the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda almost every day. But prior to that, we used to only see them together whenever the Chinita Princess would appear in the now-defunct weekly late-night comedy talk show, “Gandang Gabi Vice,” which Vice hosted.

Apparently, Kim was among the celebrities who had guested on GGV a number of times throughout its nine years of airing. Let us revisit some of her amusing and remarkable appearances on the show via this GGV Toplist!

Since it has already been more than a decade since GGV aired its pilot episode in 2011, we have probably forgotten that Kim was actually the first-ever guest on the show. We’re not sure if that was their first time working together, but the chemistry of Kim and Vice as colleagues was truly palpable through their banter.

Being the first-ever personality to grace the program, it’s no wonder that Kim was among the celebrities invited to its fifth anniversary celebration in 2016. Thus, Vice and the GGV staff agreed to give her a dog as a special gift. But instead of a dog, a man in a lion costume suddenly appeared onstage, which absolutely shocked Kim and prompted her to walk out.

The following year, Kim wasn’t alone in her return to the show, as she came with her former on-and-off-screen partner Gerald Anderson to promote their then-upcoming comeback series, Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.” Although it had been years already since they parted ways, we still couldn’t help but be thrilled during their interview with the Unkabogable Star. The kilig further intensified when the KimErald loveteam accepted Vice's fun dare, in which she had to unbutton the shirt and count the abs of Gerald.

In 2018, Kim made a comeback with one of her best friends, Bela Padilla. They talked about their awesome barkada with Angelica Panganiban, fondly called “AngBeKi,” which just marked its first anniversary. They recounted how their unexpected friendship was born via attending a party and gatecrashing another, as well as when Kim went to Vice’s house one Sunday uninvited.

That same year, Kim further showcased her bubbliness as Vice tagged her along to a fun carpool karaoke, wherein they chatted about random stuff and sang a few Christmas songs since it was already the holidays. To make their carpool session more fun, Vice challenged her to sing her rendition of Jessie J’s “Flashlight,” which went viral after performing it at an event, as well as to do an on-the-spot translation to Bisaya of her all-time favorite Yuletide song, “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey.
