7 touching moments Vice turned emotional on GGV

In the seven years Gandang Gabi Vice thrilled us, Vice Ganda brought the good vibes and brightened our Sunday evenings with his hilarious antics. But there are those special, candid, touching moments the Unkabogable Star turned emotional.

In celebration of the show's 7th anniversary, here were the instances when our hearts were moved and tears welled up our eyes as Vice gets caught in these poignant, clutching times.

That's why when it turned two years old in 2012, the multi-faceted host was extremely overwhelmed.

"Akalain mo nga 'yon na from one season na 13 weeks lang dapat ay umabot tayo ng two years? 'Di biro ang two years na walang patlang tinutukan n'yo ako," he said.

Then he added, "Thank you so much for sticking with me for the last two years and I'm praying that you will stick with me for the next 200 years kung kaya pa. Salamat sa inyong lahat. God bless you."

There's a common belief in show business that the career of stand-up comedians only last for three years and Vice was actually warned about it.

But he was able to break the curse when GGV remains consistently strong for four years.

Hence, he found it hard to contain his overflowing happiness and gratitude to the audiences, creators, and staff and crew of the show, to the management who continuously believes in and guides him, and to his Nanay Rosario and friend Ogie Diaz who inspired him to do it.

"Unang araw palang, pinaramdam n'yo na sa akin ang suporta ninyo," he expressed.

He even recalled the time he first stepped on the stage and welcomed the lovely audiences in his first-ever headlining stint.

"Hiyang-hiya ako at takot na takot nang araw na 'yon dahil first time kong magkaroon ng programa na ako ang bida," he reminisced. Fortunately, he was able to overcome his anxiety and turned it the "Trending Capital of the Philippines".

One thing that we admire about the Unkabogable Superstar is his ability to turn his real-life woes into laughable jokes. Remember this banter when his friendship with Angeline Quinto almost got over.

Whose entire being would not be crushed once you hear the mellifluous voices of Kaye Cal and Moira Dela Torre singing either their self-composed or covers of other songs? Well, you do not need to be heartbroken like Vice for you to relate and be moved with their performances of "Isang Araw" and "Malaya" respectively.

Since it's his birthday and it was dubbed as a YOLOgy (a word play on the millennial slang "YOLO", which means "you only live once" or to have fun, and the term "eulogy"), what's a better way to pay tribute to the Phenomenal Star than poignant messages from his friends in the entertainment industry?

Kapamilya recording artists close to his heart joined the celebration by giving their warm greetings and expressing their gratitude to all the good memories they shared with Vice and praising him for his magnanimity and inspiration.

Just when things are getting emotional, they capped off their appearances by singing a parody of one of their hits, which certainly pertained to Vice.

Due to the untimely death of their father when he was still young, the multi-faceted host wasn't able to spent much time with him.

Thus, he wasn't able to contain his emotions when The Voice Kids Season 1 Grand Winner Lyca Gairanod belted out Luther Vandross' "Dance With Father", which according to him is the nastiest song ever composed because of the emotion and message it evokes.

Surely, many judged him for his straightforwardness and his unlikely demeanor shown in his viral video that circulated online. But what lies beneath the strong personality of internet sensation Carlo

Mendoza, despite his very young age, is a loving boy who possesses unconditional love for his family, especially to his mom who abandoned them.

He even advised parents and children to always love one another and professed his admiration for his Mama Vice, which made the host teary-eyed.

In its successful seven years of bringing laughter and good vibes to our homes every week, Gandang Gabi Vice attested that concealed in the cheerful facade of people are sad stories that they choose to set aside and keep on going in life.

Congratulations on the newest milestone, GGV!
