We all want a tita who is more like a close friend. Someone who will just hang out with us and even spoil us when our parents can’t. Basically, how Alex Gonzaga is like with her nephew Seve.
Without a doubt, she loves him with all her heart. They never miss a chance to bond and fool around. “Who’s cuter Tata or Chambeh??? Fine ibigay niya na sa bata,” she captioned one Instagram post. In another, the host shared one particular face Seve always makes, “The ‘INAYKUPO’ look of Seve when I get him from his parents.” And she is not far from experiencing sepanx whenever they have to say goodbye for the day.
So, what separates Alex from other aunties to make her the ultimate tita? In case you did not know, she trended recently because of a music video she released on her YouTube channel entitled “Chambe.” As of writing, it already has over three million views. The song became a hit and is now available on music streaming platforms. And according to Toni Gonzaga, the inspiration behind Chambe is Seve!
“Kalokohan lang niya ‘yan,” Toni stated on Gandang Gabi Vice. Whenever Alex would try to call Seve’s attention, he would run away. So, she came up with the Chambe chant. Now, every time Alex sings this chant, Seve would start to dance. She joked about turning the chant into a full single. Then surprised Toni with an actual recording, “Pumunta siya sa bahay, ‘pakinggan mo nga ni-record ko.” From there, they she decided to make a music video.
When Toni showed it to Seve, he was completely shocked in a good way. “Gulat na gulat ‘yung mukha niya,” she described his reaction and that he started to dance along. If only we can all have connections like these with our titas.
