What is a celebrity talk show without those shocking exposes and confessions from guests?
And on Gandang Gabi Vice, the funniest encounters with these guests turn out to be unforgettable jaw-dropping moments that were even reported on popular news sites. These conversations between the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda and his weekly visitors are light and comedic, and become insightful and informative as the minutes pass.
But there come these special moments when these celebrities reveal something about themselves that’s never before heard, leaving the live audience, the viewers, and especially Vice with mouths agape. In celebration of GGV’s 8th anniversary, here are these “walopet” celebrity confessions that jolted us.
1. James Reid reveals he and Nadine Lustre are living together
When James Reid talked about how he and girlfriend Nadine Lustre spent their third anniversary, nobody expected his accidental revelation. “We live together and sometimes kasi araw-araw kayong nagkikita and there’s no space,” James said. “Sometimes you get too comfortable but then there are days when she’s working, super busy parang ngayon. And when she gets home it’s like we really miss each other still kahit isang araw lang.”
Stunned, Vice responded by defending their relationship and advising them to feel free and be real as a couple.
2. Aubrey and Troy expose intimate moments
As they played the “Saan, Kelan, Sino” game, Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero candidly divulged matters other couples would rather keep mum about. These include the wildest place where they made love, how many times they do it, and even the one who’s the loudest while doing it. On when they actually make love, Aubrey says, “Mas mahaba sa umaga sa gabi pagod na kasi.” An amused Vice then asked Troy their favorite sleeping position, to which he hilariously answered their preferred sexual position instead.
3. Tony on his bed scene with Angel in “Glorious”
On “Kuryentanong,” Tony Labrusca was a bit embarrassed on daring queries from Vice that should only elicit a Yes or No response from him while strapped on a toy lie-detecting gadget. Was he aroused in his bed scene with Angel Aquino in the iWant’s digital flick “Glorious”? Is he still a virgin since he last appeared on GGV? Tony tried to be truthful, but said: “Lahat ng beses na nagsabi ako ng totoo, na-ground ako.”
4. Sexbomb Cheche and Coco Martin’s past fling resurfaced
When Vice shared a bit of trivia that Coco Martin once starred with the Sexbomb Girls in their defunct afternoon series, Sunshine Garcia dropped a bombshell no one expected, not even our gregarious Unkabogable Star. That is, her fellow Sexbomb Cheche Tolentino had a fling with the current Primetime King while they were filming the series! When asked and teased about it, Cheche replied: “Mabait lang po talaga si Coco.”
5. Kim Chiu advises Bela Padilla against hopeless romance
Kim Chiu and Bela Padilla showed how close they are as friends when they appeared together on GGV. While they declared that their friendship was built on laughter and jokes, they also admit their sisterly bond was strengthened even more by supporting each other in times of heartaches. Here, Kim surprised everyone when she told Bela on air: “Hindi mo dapat ipipilit ‘yung sarili mo sa taong hindi ka binibigyan ng atensiyon,” referring to the man who continued to break her heart. Kim said she even took Bela’s phone to text the man to “stop” hurting her.
6. Kakai Bautista’s one-sided romance with Ahron Villena
When Kakai Bautista visited GGV together with close friend Kim Chiu, the comedienne had already been linked to Ahron Villena. And when Vice asked her about their supposed relationship, Kakai revealed that while she did have feelings for him and expected him to reciprocate, nothing went beyond friendship. “Baka ako na naman masabihan ng there was never an us… eh ‘di wala,” Kakai said. And while she admitted she was hurt from the one-sided romance, Kakai said she had since moved on from her feelings for Ahron.
7. Angelica Panganiban says Carlo Aquino cheated on her
The reunion of Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino as a love team really sparked heartwarming nostalgia, especially among those who followed the pair when they were teenagers. But something happened that led to their separation as real-life sweethearts. In their guesting on GGV, Angelica brought it out in the open. “Niloko ka ba dati?” Vice asked. “Oo,” Angelica answered. And, Carlo had fears that he would do it again if they were indeed back together. “Natatakot lang akong masaktan siya ulit,” he said. She would then reveal two instances when they broke up—the first, when she just stumbled upon his ongoing relationship with a third party, and the second, when Carlo actually called it quits with her and started anew with his new flame then, Maja Salvador. Angelica clarified there was never a problem with Maja since everything was “legal” and “clear” before they moved on from their relationship.
8. Ion Perez declares Vice Ganda is “special” to him
When “Eerie” lead stars Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio appeared on GGV, they pulled a big surprise for Vice. Two scary nuns appeared, making Vice curious and a bit anxious about them. It didn’t take long before Bea approached the two and asked them to remove their masks. They turned out to be Vice’s close onstage partners on It’s Showtime, Ate Girl Jackque Gonzaga and Kuya Escort Ion Perez. After Bea asked their biggest “fears” in line with the promo of their horror flick, Jackque and Ion retorted about being scared “losing” what they have with Vice. Ma’am Charo then wanted to address her confusion and asked Vice and Ion: “Ano bang meron kayo?” Ion electrified the audience by saying “Ano po, special po siya sa akin.”
Gandang Gabi Vice not only leaves audiences entertained and amused with every turn of Vice’s witty conversations with celebrities, it also offers sizzling confessions and revelations straight from the guests that we all witness first on the show.
