Comedienne Kakai Bautista became a target of conversations across social media a few days ago after receiving legal warnings from the management of Thai superstar Mario Maurer, to whom she got to work with in the 2012 Star Cinema flick “Suddenly It’s Magic,” if she continues to talk about him or drag his name publicly.
And as a talent manager himself, Boy Abunda expressed his sentiments over the issue as he tackled this on the trending celebrity news segment of his online talk show The Best Talk, which can be streamed on KUMU’s FYE Channel.
“If this is an issue that is serious to you, itong name-mention si Mario Maurer ni Kakai sa kanyang mga interviews dahil they were friends or they are friends, why don’t you issue a clear statement para mas maintindihan namin?” he stated.
Then he added, “I wanna know why [or] what’s bothering you? What do you know that we don’t know? We want to understand why you will take legal action immediately if Kakai mentions Mario in any of her interviews? Ito ‘yong hindi klaro sa akin. Pero in the business of shows, sanay naman tayo na kung may gusto kang sabihin, mag-statement ka nga managing team ni Mario Maurer para mas maunawaan namin. Kasi ang alam lang namin, Kakai is really fun, she’s really nice, she’s sweet. Aside from the fact that she’s one of the most talented actors and singers in the country.”
The King of Talk also went on to cheer the 42-year-old actress-singer up by telling her to stay beautiful and that she will surely go a long way. He wrapped up the program by hoping “all’s well that ends well”.
