In light of the highly anticipate return of Pinoy Big Brother for its “Kumunity Season 10”, two of its alumni-turned-hosts Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and Robi Domingo graced the latest episode of FYE Channel’s The Best Talk to talk about their respective experiences in joining the reality show.
It can be recalled that Bianca was part of the Celebrity Edition 1 and became the 3rd Big Placer, while Robi was the 2nd Big Placer of the Teen Edition Plus.
Looking back to his memorable stint, the 32-year-old seasoned host confessed that he only brought three briefs then because upon careful examination of how the inaugural teen edition had fared, in which Kim Chiu was hailed as the Big Winner, he assumed that he would only stay in the competition for at least two weeks. He thought that since he didn’t have a spectacular life story to tell compared to the previous and his fellow housemates.
“But more than the physical and emotional challenges sa loob, for me it was the mental stress e. It was more a cerebral game for me,” Robi related and explained to host Boy Abunda that it’s because they didn’t know what to expect.
He added, “It’s a competition, it’s a reality show. So, you needed to put your certain character out, lalong-lalo na ako I had the pressure na ‘True-Blue Atenista’. Parang if I go out bigla and then I do something bad, ang bigat naman no’n para sa eskuwelahan ko.”
When it comes to those people who have been commenting that PBB is scripted, he stated, “Try it out. Hopefully you’ll become part of this community, this whole family. And when you come outside, masasabi n’yo na isa ‘to sa mga magagandang kabanata ng buhay mo.”
Meanwhile, with regards to the discoveries she had about herself after joining the reality program, Bianca told the King of Talk that it was probably the fact that she wasn’t a whole as a person then. She still had a lot of questions, doubted herself so much, and was unsure of the path she would want to take then.
