Days after her latest single “Phoenix”, top-caliber singer and ASAP Natin ‘To regular performer Morissette Amon appeared in the latest episode of FYE Channel’s “KUMUstar Ka” to talk about it and to also share some updates about her personal life to everyone.
“I’m also very happy to share na ‘ayan na, he put a ring on it,” she happily told host Papa Ahwel Paz as he asked her about the track, which was actually a collaboration between her and her beloved fiancé, singer-songwriter Dave Lamar.
“With that song po talaga, ang process po kasi namin is usually nagtatanong siya sa akin anong concept for a song. And dahil ‘di ako naturally-born na songwriter talaga, marami akong ideas so siya actually ang nag-start po,” she began to share.
The 24-year-old singer continued, “So ‘yong verse, ‘yong buong first verse tsaka buong chorus sa fiancé ko po talaga – si Dave. ‘Yong buong second verse naman po, ako ‘yong nakabuo. First time kong makabuo ng isang buong verse. Kasi dati, linya-linya lang po talaga ako. Pero ‘yon nga po, no’ng narinig ko rin ‘yon song na ‘yon, grabe pati ako naiyak ako e. Sobrang relatable talaga ‘yong lyrics niya. Kaya kung ‘di po dahil sa kanya, ‘di po talaga mabubuo ‘yong song.”
Since the year 2020 had been terrible for everyone, Morissette also expressed her gratitude to her fiancé and to the other people around her for helping her get through it. She feels fortunate as well for the gift of technology that enables us to connect with our loved from different parts of the world.
