John Arcilla, who has been recently named first ever Filipino Best Actor in the prestigious Venice International Film Festival for the film “On The Job: The Missing 8” mentioned a co-star in movie he felt honored to work with.
She is Huwag Kang Mangamba star Andrea Brillantes, who played Diane, the daughter of John’s character, the journalist Sisoy in the film.
The FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano actor did not hold back his admiration for the immensely popular Andrea and her dramatic performance in “On The Job: The Missing 8.”
“Sobrang gandang bata. Napakagaling, napakasensitive at ang natural niyang umarte. Sobrang nakakatuwa nga na isa siya sa mga anak ko kasi you know how popular Andrea Brillantes is,” John said.
He further recognized Andrea’s popularity among the youth as an advantage in further strengthening her impact in the film.
“Siya ‘yung isa sa mga pinaka-number one ngayon na kilala ng mga kabataan, especially ng millennials,” John added.
He then said he was “so happy and lucky and honored na makasama ko siya.” He further praised Andrea: “Isa siya sa pinakasikat ngayon na batang artista. Magaling pa, magaling na artista. Hindi lang maganda kundi super talented and napakabait sa totoo lang. Sobrang nakakatuwa siyang kasama.”
