In an interview with MJ Felipe and Bianca Gonzales on CinemaOne’s PopCinema, Iza Calzado and Ian Veneracion shared their thoughts on the Bea Alonzo-Dominic Roque rumored affair.
Ian and Iza didn't dip into the item about Bea. They simply said that they are both for Bea’s happiness.
Ian, playfully act like someone who has no idea about the rumors, "Totoo ba ito? Anong nangyayari? Kaibigan naming pareho ‘yun."
“Masaya kami kung meron man o wala,” Iza added.
Furthermore, Ian stressed that, "Whether anuman man ‘yun. Whether it's friendship or romance, I don't care. I'm for it. I love them both."
"She (Bea) deserves to be happy," said Iza.
Iza has something to say regarding love teams and all, "I understand that there are supporters who become boxed-in, especially here in the Philippines, when you become a fan. And you can't take that out.
"Pero para sa akin, it limits us as actors, and it's not good for us. If you really, really support us and you really care about us--you would care about us as individual actors.
"But you can 'ship' the loveteam without having to say 'na ganyan, ‘yung ganyan na parang...' Guys, this is a job."
In conclusion, between Bea and Brandy, his love interest played by Iza in his current series, B&B: The Story of the Battle of Brody and Brandy, Ian chose the latter, "Bea is a real person and Brandy is a fictitious character. I'm doing Brody, of course I'll choose Brandy. If I'm Brody, I'm for Brandy."
Bea, Iza, and Ian worked together in a 2017 hit Kapamilya teleserye A Love to Last. Iza now stars in the much-talked about and acclaimed JRB Creative Production drama Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.
