It’s probably been a long time since we’ve seen ultimate heartthrob Ian Veneracion on Kapamilya television. Thus, his avid fans were surely delighted to see him in the latest episode of FYE Channel’s KUMU STAR KA.
Apart from catching up with him, host Papa Ahwel Paz asked the seasoned actor to describe himself in three words according to the first letters of his name, as a way of sharing other things about him that the people probably still don’t know yet despite him being in the limelight for so many years now.
It took him a few moments to think of an adjective that starts with “I”, but he eventually came up with “introvert”. He may have handsome looks and impressive talents in acting, singing, and playing guitar and piano, but the 46-year-old actor revealed that he’s actually timid, especially when surrounded by a lot of people.
According to him, he’s not the type who easily opens up even to his friends. He’s also a keen observant who enjoys watching the crowd rather than being the life of the party.
Ian further imparted that before, even his wife had never heard him sing as he tended to stop every time he would sense her approaching and just kept on pressing his piano or strumming his guitar. However, being part of the 2017 primetime romance drama A Love To Last, which he topbilled opposite Bea Alonzo, made him confident to showcase his hidden talents. It can be recalled that just like him, his character Anton also knew how to sing and play instruments, which the viewers were able to witness in several episodes.
Since then, he admitted getting the hang of it and refusing to let go of the microphone. He also recalled how he felt so afraid and nervous a few moments before his concert in 2019, which for him was more nerve-wracking than skydiving and scuba diving with sharks.
