It seems the viewers of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano are starting to notice Cardo (Coco Martin) and Lia (Jane De Leon)’s chemistry as he contemplates what to do next with his hostage, resulting in more time spent together and getting to know each other. Check out this Kapamilya Toplist that pins ten recent bickering moments of Cardo and Lia that reveal their light-hearted sides.
It started with Cardo’s quest to avenge his wife Alyana (Yassi Pressman)’s death. The bitterness ignited his reckless and violent behavior, forcing him to abduct Lia when he had the chance. But, knowing Cardo’s soft heart, he wouldn’t kill a defenceless woman for mere sadistic reasons. Without a plan in mind, he ended up bringing Lia to use her as a human shield while still pondering on his next moves. And the results are a mix of thrilling action and adorable scenes, especially when they start to argue over the little things.
The first scene shows Cardo shoving his hostage to a vacant room in his temporary hideout, a huge house watched by couple Pilar (Giselle Sanchez) and Teban (Mitoy Yonting). She refused to be handcuffed but Cardo insisted that he doesn’t trust her enough. Then, they exchanged sharp, soul-piercing glares. If only looks could kill.
Wandering around an unfamiliar territory after a gun battle with the Black Ops, Cardo ordered Lia to follow his steps instead of complaining. She tried to run away by pretending to ask for a toilet time. Lia was able to escape a distance but Cardo managed to catch her. He carried the sulky woman and spanked her like a child.
The next events turned out to be climacteric in Cardo’s decision-making as he got to develop an unlikely bond with Lia, and the latter saw his true motive as well. In a scene, Cardo acted annoyed by Lia’s endless grumbles. But seeing how tired and hungry she was, he decided to feed her by fishing and taking the food items found in a small raft.
We all know Cardo has got some cooking skills, so no wonder Lia enjoyed the meal he prepared. Besides, she was hungry as a wolf. Cardo smiled a little, poking fun at Lia’s manner of eating. And it was the first time since Alyana’s death that he smiled again.
Later on, while thinking about what could happen, Cardo started to worry about his plans for Lia. The law of “an eye for an eye” seems no longer his best choice in punishing Lia, the woman who gunned his wife down. Lia, on the other hand, was beginning to understand Cardo’s reasons for using her as a hostage and fighting the Black Ops.
Will this be the start of Cardo and Lia’s alliance? Don’t miss an episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
