In the February 7 Thursday episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, the two fear-mongering evil brothers Baldo (Rommel Padilla) and Tanggol (Joross Gamboa) had finally reached their demise. This means that the townspeople of Sto. Nino has finally been freed from their torturous and oppressive deeds, with Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay (Coco Martin) and Romulo “Leon/Pinuno” Dumaguit (Lito Lapid) to the rescue.
Without a doubt, Baldo and Tanggol had been one of the most barbaric tandem in the show. The two hoodlums, along with their henchmen, spread fear in the once peaceful barrio of Sto. Niño and restrained its people. Fortunately, Cardo and the rest of the Vendetta arrived that made the townsfolk feel relieved for there's not only one, but a battalion of fearless vigilantes who protected them, pushing the bad guys to leave them in peace for a while.
Nevertheless, the harmony enveloping the town didn’t last long as Baldo and Tanggol came back to town to forcefully get several men to work in the Gustavo (Eddie Garcia) mining company which Homer “Alakdan” Adlawan (Jhong Hilario) manages.
The townspeople of Sto. Nino refused to leave the town and work for them, so Baldo and Tanggol decided to torture them along with their families and killed anyone who will resist.
Before these evil brothers get to slaughter and wipe out the whole populace, Cardo and Romulo came just in time to save them. It came to the point that latter must singlehandedly kill Baldo, while Cardo must stand solo against Tanggol.
After we have witnessed their heinous crimes, the vicious brothers met their end. Romulo ended Baldo’s life by piercing a bamboo spear through his heart. Meanwhile, after Cardo successfully eliminated Tanggol’s weapons, he gave Tanggol to the hands of the townsmen and let them have their revenge as per their request.
Indeed, Baldo and Tanggol’s deaths are a great victory for the Vendetta along with the people of Sto. Nino.
