Who says this is a man’s world?
There is no question that FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is a machismo fantasy. After all the thrown punches, chase scenes and shoot outs in this world of crime and vigilantes, the bullets do not seem even remotely close to running out. Led by action stars like Coco Martin, Lito Lapid and even Eddie Garcia who is an iconic villain in Philippine cinema, every episode is overflowing with action. And keeping up with their strides are three of the toughest women.
Off cam, Bianca Manalo became known for being the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2009. When she joined the cast of this primetime frontrunner as Bubbles, she was the dancer that ensnared the heart of Alakdan (Jhong Hilario). Eventually proving that she is more than her looks, she has risked her life a number of times to help the Vendetta. Most recently, when the group’s location was revealed, Bubbles was one of them who was injured during the crossfire. Still she is sticking by them and have no intention of leaving.
On the other hand, even at her age, Angel Aquino who plays General Diana Olegario was someone you did not want to mess up with. Initially the head of the National Military Intelligence Group, she is one of the few that believed in Cardo. Despite being a wanted man, Diana had agreed to meet Cardo. That same night, there was an attempt to assassinate her. Fortunately, Cardo saved her and since then she has been an ally to the Vendetta. Any mission they have and she stood tall with them in the frontlines.
Meanwhile, Alyanna who is portrayed by Yassi Pressman is someone who you might not often see holding a gun. Yet this does not mean she is a snowflake. Aside from being a smart and famed journalist, she is one of the strongest in terms of emotional stability. After everything that has happened, from losing her one and only son to breaking up with her husband then being in a relationship with the deranged Marco (JC Santos), she is still fighting.
All these women are just as admirable as any man. And the Vendetta are lucky to have them as a part of their resistance.
