He is, without a doubt, one of the most terrible and most notorious enemies Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay ever had throughout FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s undisputed successful four-year run.
In the past five months, Dante S. Madarang, who also swears by the alias “Bungo”, had been extremely abhorred not only by Cardo’s Task Force Agila and his presumed allies Lazaro “Uwak” Enriquez (Gardo Versoza) and Lily Cortez (Lorna Tolentino), but of the avid viewers as well, because of being a pain in the neck of our modern-day fictional hero and with how ruthless and totally loathsome he is, thanks to the effective portrayal of seasoned actor Baron Geisler.
It can be recalled, the war between them sparked as Bungo fulfills his promise to avenge the death of his twin brother David, who got killed by Cardo’s twin Ador De Leon during an entrapment operation. Ador might be already dead too, but that didn’t stop him from plotting his plan, but against Cardo and his beloved family.
And after a lot of intense encounters and exhausting chases, Bungo’s evilness has finally come to an end after his bloody and grueling skirmish with the lead protagonist that led to his death, as seen in the latest episode of the primetime series.
Bungo’s demise came when he hostaged P/Insp. Samantha Salazar (Diana Mackey) and Cardo immediately arrived at the scene to rescue her. From a mere gunfight, it ensued to a heart-pounding and bloody altercation in which they exchanged hard-hitting punches and kicks atop the shanties and on the ground.
In the end, Bungo was still didn’t show any pang of conscience and of surrendering, more so when he brandished the bombs he attached inside his jacket and warned to trigger those, thus, Cardo had no choice but to shoot his body with bullets numerous times. Nevertheless, he was still able to muster enough strength to detonate those, causing his horrible death.
While the scenes we witnessed on-screen were absolutely mind-blowing and gripping, the photos in this gallery prove that everything was just for the show and everyone are cordial towards each other when the reels are not rolling, as seen on their smiles and laughter.
Keep on watching FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, weeknights after TV Patrol, to find out what’s going to be Cardo and Task Force Agila’s next mission.
