2017 could have been the most explosive year for our mighty hero Ricardo Dalisay portrayed by Primetime King Coco Martin. Watching FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano weeknights has brought us to the edge of our seats and kept our eyes glued.
This year, the action-drama series celebrated three special milestones – the conclusion of Book 1, the opening of its second book, and the celebration of its second anniversary. Another thing that made it more wonderful this year is that the current artists are able to collaborate with the veteran action stars.
Let’s end 2017 with a bang by looking back on some of the most notable death-defying scenes that exposed the exceptional flair of the cast.
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Cardo's final encounter with Joaquin
This is the most riveting episode to date. Just when Cardo and his wife Alyana (Yassi Pressman) thought that their wedding night would end up in a honeymoon, it turned out that they had to spend it fighting the vicious Joaquin (Arjo Atayde). Well, that was their last encounter after our courageous protagonist ended the latter’s life and finally serving justice to his family.
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Romulo and Cardo's duel
That moment could have been the conclusion of their rapport, but Romulo (Lito Lapid) realized that Cardo could be his platoon’s ace to defeat their enemies – the group of Javier (Jestoni Alarcon) and Miguel (Aljur Abrenica). All is well again for both of them and they remained allies.
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Cardo fights with Romano's henchmen
Aiming to terminate the illegal drug operation of the powerful mafia group led by Romano Recio, Cardo singlehandedly fought Chairman’s (Ronnie Lazaro) henchmen and exchanged bloody blows with Gener (Jeric Raval).
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Fernan and Romulo fight Miguel and Javier
Disguising as Fernan and claiming that he’s part of the Pulang Araw, Cardo and Romulo assaulted the leaders of opposing rebel group led by Miguel and Javier Enriquez. With the agility and unbelievable combat skills they brandished, Cardo and Romulo’s tandem won and killed the villainous Enriquezes.
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Cardo fights for Human Rights
Even though he’s out of the police force, protecting and serving the people still remained in Cardo’s system. As he was plying a busy street in Manila with Paco (Long Mejia), a police operation against vendors of pirated DVD’s was taking place. Upon spotting an old woman and her child being hit by a cop, he didn’t hesitate to rescue them. That’s a real hero!
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Beginning of Cardo's revenge
With all the bad things that happened to Cardo and his family because of Joaquin and his allies, it’s impossible for him not to feel vengeful. And he started his revenge plot by killing Romano, a notorious influential drug lord.
FPJ's Ang Probinsyano: Clash between Cardo and Gen. Jacob's henchmen
In his attempt to uncover General Rogelio Jacob’s (Rez Cortez) ties with the illegal drug syndicate operated by Joaquin, Cardo disguised as a waiter in one of his meetings and held him as hostage in front of his minions brandishing their firearms (which reminds us of a scene in one of Da King Fernando Poe Jr.’s classic films).
These scenes have truly made FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano the top rating primetime show in the country, with all the spine-tingling action that left us breathless. We are so excited of what’s to come in more climactic scenes next year.
