Aside from acting and singing, Vice Ganda has proven how a multi-faceted artist indeed he is by also busting his impressive dance moves on It’s Showtime through the years.
And now that he’s hosting the upcoming musical gameshow Everybody Sing, let’s take a look back on the unforgettable moments when he amused and wowed us with his ‘unkabogable’ dance samples in this Kapamilya Toplist feature!
Apart from starring in blockbuster hit movies, the Phenomenal Box Office Star has also produced a number of novelty songs that truly made us bop and even left us with last song syndrome (LSS), such as “Ang Kulit”. In an episode, we were really entertained to see Hashtag member Zeus Collins dance to it with all her might along with some kids, then Vice replaced him onstage a few moments later.
The host-comedian went on to do same in another episode wherein, he exerted all his energy in dancing to ABS-CBN’s summer station ID “Ikaw Ang Sunshine Ko, Isang Pamilya Tayo”. This kindled his co-hosts to tease him that he seemed to be recompensating his absence or absences (perhaps).
Meanwhile, in an episode of the “HYPEBEST” segment, he toned down a bit as he and Zeus did an interpretative dance inspired by the composition of one of the groups that joined the competition.
Apparently, Vice could just dance to any music in a heartbeat as he instantly moved her body upon hearing the festive instrumental played by the DJ in an episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan. He did the same in another episode as he suddenly showed the steps to the Sarah Geronimo hit “Tala”, while his co-host and hurado Karylle was commenting on a contestant’s rendition of it during the Huling Tapatan of the TNT All-Star Grand Resbak.
As one of the Miss Q & A contenders mentioned performing the Filipino folkdance pandanggo, he and co-host Vhong instantly sang and danced to “Santa Clara”, despite not entirely knowing the whole lyrics. He continued dancing even though the DJ turned its tempo faster.
During singer-producer Young JV’s guesting in It’s Showtime as one of the players of “Mas Testing,” he also took this opportunity to promote his newest song “Full Moon”. The Unkabogable Star, once again, couldn’t help himself from dancing to its groovy beat, comparable to the ones we usually hear in internationally-produced music. He even noted how youngsters nowadays could dance so well although they’re just doing little movements.
There was also one instance when Vice got so captivated by the movements busted by a TNT contender while performing Justin Timberlake’s “Sexy Back,” so he asked him to demonstrate to him the steps he just did on the stage.
And in the advent of Tiktok, he has also inserted some of the popular dance challenges in the video-sharing app in some of the episodes of TNT, such as the “Magandang Dilag” that he did alongside Jhong and Kim Chiu, and the other ones that have been viral in another episode.
Will Vice Ganda do ‘unkabogable’ dance samples as well in his much-awaited new program? That’s for us to find out so you better not miss an episode of Everybody Sing once it started airing this weekend, June 5 and 6, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z Channel 11!
