Vice Ganda happiness ambassador throughout his TV journey

ABS-CBN’s newest game show Everybody Sing is set to bring happiness to a tired and weary populace with a delightful competition that celebrates the common Filipino’s love for singing.

With two million pesos cash prize at stake, this first community singing game show in the Philippines will be hosted by the Phenomenal Box Office Star Vice Ganda.

Everybody, Sing! has yet to announce its mechanics, but part of its theme song suggests that it will require its players to cooperate in singing a tune.  Before the Unkabogable Star will make “Everybody Sing” in the upcoming game show, let us look back at Vice Ganda’s journey to becoming a household name in the showbiz industry, particularly in being a “happiness ambassador” in his TV appearances through the years.

With his comedic talent, Vice Ganda made his way in becoming the country’s happiness ambassador sending good vibes to TV viewers. Before achieving success in the showbiz industry, Vice Ganda was once a dreamer. Back in 2006, the famous comedian-host was very vocal about his dream of being a TV Host when he guested in the show Boy & Kris.

As Vice said, being a TV host was his “destiny,” but one of his first TV appearances was an acting stint and not a hosting gig. Did you know that Vice Ganda was part of the hit teleserye Dyosa, which starred his now close friend Anne Curtis?  In 2008, he portrayed a telepathic magical mirror named Salaminsim in said teleserye. You can’t even recognize that it was him!

One year later, the showbiz giant became a mainstay of the morning nationwide talent show Showtime (which eventually evolved into the noontime show It’s Showtime) as its unevictable hurado that kick started his phenomenal career.

Following his success on It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda brought in his comedic skills hosting his eponymous Sunday talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, which has been airing for nearly 9 years.

Vice Ganda’s success has been non-stop since then and his credibility was built over the years. In fact, he became a judge in Philippine editions of three international talent search franchises. The first was as judge of the Philippine version of immensely popular Got Talent reality talent contest, Pilipinas Got Talent on its fourth season in 2012.

Vice would then sit as judge in another local version of a global competition searching for the next top boy idol group, Pinoy Boyband Superstar in 2016.

In his most recent stint on a reality talent show, Vice would judge in the local version of the widely popular Idol franchise, Idol Philippines in 2019.

Bringing in with him all his experiences in hosting and giving happiness to the madlang people, expect a fun-filled competition on Everybody, Sing!, soon on ABS-CBN!
