Joko Diaz has already been a household name in the Philippine entertainment industry. He may be well-known for portraying those macho villain characters in series and films, such as the mysterious Master Klaudio in Mars Ravelo’s Darna, but he could be soft and doting in real life, especially when it comes to his children.
And one of them is the very lovely Ashley Diaz, who attested on how her dad’s personality is far different from what he’s known for on-screen during their guesting in Magandang Buhay in 2019 as she revealed that he’s actually funny.

Besides, she also had the chance to tell him the words that he’d probably been yearning to hear, saying, “I want you to be safe always. I am proud that you are my father. I want more bonding moments with you. I love you.”
In return, the veteran action star reminded his beloved daughter to finish her studies, respect people, and appreciate everything that she has been through and where she came from before achieving all the success that she has now.
We could also note that Joko is such a hands-on father to his kids as Ashley shared that he would always call and text her just to make sure she’s always okay and endure hours of travel to Batangas so that he could get home after work every day. This just goes to show how important seeing and being with the family is for him.
Indeed, Joko is one proud dad to his children as he shared videos of Ashley performing onstage and having a duet with her younger brother Pacqui on Instagram and wrote in the caption of one of his posts, “Kayo ang nagpapasaya sa amin ng mommy n’yo.” Besides, we could also spot photos of them together that suggest how tightly bonded they are with each other. As Ashley follows the footsteps of her dad and her late grandfather and veteran actor Paquito Diaz in showbiz, she definitely has her Daddy Joko and Mommy Abby’s unwavering love and support. Just in case you aren’t aware yet, the 18-year-old stunner has been a talent of a reputable local artist agency and just graduated from senior high school in San Beda College-Alabang last June. She is also one of the besties of popular teen star Francine Diaz.
While we’re looking forward to see Ashley on-screen, let’s catch his dad Joko first on Mars Ravelo’s Darna, weeknights at 8PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live and A2Z
