Tindeng (Charo Santos), Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), and Tanggol (Coco Martin) impart a message that even if tragedies and pain come, we can choose to respond with faith each time. Kapamilya Toplist compiled their scenes to inspire us to strengthen our faith this Holy Week.
In the video, we see the younger Tindeng (Lara Quigaman) and Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) praying to Jesus Nazarene for guidance and blessings just enough for their survival. Marites also prayed for her decisions in life, which God immediately heard as Marites halted her plan to abort her child. There are also scenes of Tanggol imploring the heavens for forgiveness and miracles for everyone.
Their life in Quiapo isn’t for the weak. It is imbued with pain and challenges, yet they try their best to maintain a hopeful disposition. We often hear Tindeng say that they just have to knock on the heart of Jesus Nazarene and trust that He is listening. Prayer was her only weapon when Roda (Joel Lamangan) sent her to jail.
Despite her religious fervor, Tindeng does not act blameless. She acknowledged that Tanggol needs help, and then pleads with God to give her grandson a renewed life.
Meanwhile, whenever bad news or tests come her way such as when a huge fight completely divided her family, Marites would immediately run to God for help.
