Tindeng palaban moments Batang Quiapo

Through the years, Charo Santos has emerged as the face of female prowess in the field of entertainment and any endeavor she undertakes. Her role as Tindeng in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo proves that a woman has nerves of steel, proven in how she chooses to fight for her rights and defend herself and other people from oppressors.

Friday 5 rounded up her most badass moments in the series. Check out the video!

Tindeng’s dauntlessness was on full display when their avaricious landlord Roda (Joel Lamangan) got on a power trip, demanding that she kneel before him, which she reluctantly complied with due to Marites (Cherry Pie Picache)’s persuasion. However, Roda was not satisfied and insisted that Tindeng kiss his feet as well. Tears welled in Tindeng's eyes as she silently endured. Just when it seemed she would obey, she seized a rock, striking Roda's foot before hurling it at his forehead.

Growing old and wise in the streets of Quiapo must have sharpened her combat abilities. Don't underestimate her because she's a woman; Tindeng refuses to yield to the bad guys. In the scene where Olga (Irma Adlawan), disguised as Tess, visited Tindeng's stall and covertly instructed two of her henchmen to feign an attack, Tindeng didn't hesitate to come to Marites’ defense. She bravely fought off the assailants without a hint of fear.

A similar event happened when the mysterious rich woman Bettina (Tessie Tomas), a regular visitor to Quiapo, found herself cornered by two thieves. Without hesitation, Tindeng fearlessly pursued the thief. As the offender brandished his knife, she also swiftly drew hers, initiating an intense altercation. We bet viewers were impressed when she managed to overpower the bad guy. Now we know where Tanggol (Coco Martin) got his smooth fighting skills.

A tough woman understands when to unleash and tame her inner beast. In the scene where Tindeng and Noy (Lou Veloso) stumbled upon Roda being publicly assaulted, Tindeng refrained from resorting to physical aggression despite her intense anger towards Roda. Instead, she served him up with real talk, emphasizing that humility could have spared him from his current predicament. She demonstrated that a strong woman also recognizes when to leave things to karma.

She refuses to kowtow even to her son-in-law Rigor (John Estrada), who tries to intimidate her with his brawny physique and authority as a police officer. Tindeng remained steadfast when Rigor attempted to discredit her by insinuating that she lied about witnessing his sweetness towards his colleague Lena (Mercedes Cabral), suggesting an illicit affair between them. Undaunted, she declared her intention to report the matter to the police station. When Rigor attempted to restrain her, disregarding any harm he might cause, Tindeng fought back and kicked him in the groin.

Her boldness will surely come in handy as she leaves her old place in Quiapo and tries her luck in unfamiliar territory. Don’t miss the start of a new chapter in the Year 2 of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, airing weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
