Don't get too close to Pablo, you might just trigger his 'anger' button.
Elijah Canlas is doing a good job portraying Pablo Caballero, the newest antagonist in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” His character’s bad deeds and anger issues have not only challenged the lead but also added depth to the storyline. Watch his ‘gigil’ moments via this Kapamilya Toplist of scenes from “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
Pablo's fury immediately surfaced when he faced the equally arrogant David, who was pretending to be Hesus Montenegro (McCoy de Leon), during their families' first business meeting.
The tension between Pablo and David/Hesus reached a boiling point, leading to a dramatic showdown. Both sides drew their guns, ready to fire at any moment. The situation escalated when Pablo provoked David by saying that David's stupidity and arrogance would lead to the downfall of the Montenegro family. The final straw came when Pablo insulted David by calling him "Hesus Montegago," a derogatory twist on his name, turning the meeting into a volatile standoff.
Upon arriving home, Pablo and his grandfather Facundo (Jaime Fabregas) were immediately confronted by his grandmother Bettina (Tessie Tomas). Sensing the tension, Bettina demanded to know what had transpired during the meeting.
Facundo began to explain the heated exchange, but Pablo quickly interrupted, his anger still palpable, saying that he’s never going to befriend an idiot like David. He dismissed his grandparents' attempts to calm him down or reason with him, firmly standing by his hatred toward his newest enemy. It was clear, at that moment, that he was the type whose pride and temper overshadowed any advice or warning from his elders.
Pablo's ire seemed to have no bounds, permeating every moment of his day. This was especially evident when he discovered that one of his belongings was missing. Without hesitation, he accused their new helper, Tindeng (Charo Santos), whose only fault was that she took the initiative to organize his things in the living room. He confronted the elderly woman with an intensity that bordered on hostility and told her to never touch his things again. Tindeng tried to protest her innocence, but Pablo's wrath drowned out her words.
The tension between Pablo and David finally erupted into a violent confrontation when Pablo discovered that David was dating his sister, Katherine (Ara Davao). The scene unfolded outside a restaurant where Pablo had cornered David. Words quickly turned into fists as Pablo, consumed by rage, threw the first punch.
The next sequence happened at Boss B (Nino Muhlach)’s bar, which Pablo frequents. His frustration simmered like a volcano on the brink of eruption, fueled by the displeasure of how the game was going. And without warning, he just exploded. He shoved the bar supervisor, Obet (Neil Coleta). And it seemed like no one could calm the raging storm that was Pablo. Amid the chaos, Tanggol (Coco Martin) was forced to step forward as Pablo’s billiards opponent.
Remember when he arrived at their lavish mansion, bringing along Bubbles (Ivana Alawi), the waitress from Boss B’s bar whom he has taken a liking to? Bubbles looked uncomfortable when Pablo introduced him as his girlfriend, despite them not being in a relationship. Well, he says that he always gets what he wants. He then invited her to swim, and the situation turned darker when Pablo cornered Bubbles and forced a kiss on her. Just in time, Tindeng arrived. So, Pablo released Bubbles, but snarled at their maid.
In the succeeding sequence, his madness flared uncontrollably as Bubbles continued to resist his advances. His words turned venomous as he called her a low-class woman. When Bubbles fought back, Pablo’s ego was so bruised that it drove him to a desperate act of forcing himself on her. Luckily, Bubbles managed to escape and found the way out of the mansion with Tindeng’s help, making the latter a target of his annoyance.
Although he had a point that Bettina was always thinking about money and thus was never completely happy, it was still disrespectful for him to raise his voice at his grandmother when she told him to find a woman of their social class, and not just a cheap waitress.
In the final scene in this video montage, Pablo burst into the bar, furious at Bubbles. He insulted her, demeaning her background and implying that a woman like her should be grateful for the attention of a rich guy like him. Then Tanggol stepped in, to teach Pablo a lesson.
But with his pride wounded, Pablo will stop at nothing until he gets revenge. Watch as he carries out his ruthless retaliation in the upcoming episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
