In their chat with the momshies of Magandang Buhay, the Mark Lapid and Tanya Garcia enthusiastically recounted that their first meeting was on the set of the 2006 action movie Batas Militar in which she was his leading lady. Although they didn’t feel any sparks during the filming, Mark, a former Pampanga governor and son of ex-senator Lito Lapid, admitted that he got smitten with her beauty and grace at first sight. Romance didn’t immediately bloom between them but they became very close friends, until their relationship with their exes failed and they decided to date.

They tied the knot in July 30, 2010 through civil rites in Porac, Pampanga and have three pretty young daughters, namely Micsha Amidala, Matilda Anika, and Madeleine Ariana.

As parents, the couple were described by their adorable darlings Micsha and Mattie as the best mom and dad in the world.

Mark currently stars with his father Lito on the top-rating cop series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as Anton/Tigre, a member of the leftist group Pulang Araw, while Tanya is included in the powerhouse cast of the action-fantasy series La Luna Sangre as the mother of Tristan (Daniel Padilla), Rica “Fall” Sison-Torralba.
