FPJ’s Batang Quiapo teases a more compelling plot as it enters its second year with a fresh chapter. Since the release of the show's Year 2 trailer, fans have been speculating various theories and eagerly anticipating the introduction of new characters.

Tessie Tomas, Nonie Buencamino, Jaime Fabregas, Elijah Canlas, and Ara Davao are only some of the names who will add more weight to the show’s hefty star power. Viewers are excited to know the roles they will play in the journey of Coco Martin’s Tanggol.

In recent episodes, Tessie had already made her debut as Bettina Caballero, the enigmatic rich woman who frequents Quiapo Church. She crossed paths with Tindeng (Charo Santos), who rescued her from an encounter with a thief.

The first plot twist in this new narrative immediately shatters viewers’ initial impression of Bettina as a seemingly benevolent character. The anniversary trailer, unveiled on February 16, offered a deeper look into her life, revealing her role as the wife of Jaime's character, who owns a ranch farm. She’s seen as a strict and dangerous woman who lashes out at her house helpers.

Interestingly, Tindeng and Noy (Lou Veloso) will soon find themselves employed at the Caballero ranch. So, brace yourselves for intense showdowns among these acting titans in the nights to come!

Joining the Caballero clan is Elijah Canlas as Tessie and Jaime's grandson. Following his acclaimed performance as the multifaceted Archie Guerrero in the recently concluded teen mystery series Senior High, Elijah is poised to captivate audiences anew with his gripping bad-guy portrayal. He is painted as menacing and arrogant in the trailer where he’s seen clashing with David (McCoy de Leon).

It is implied that the Caballeros and Montenegros (Tanggol’s family whom he is yet to meet) will bolster their influence in the underground business by forming an alliance. And, for the sake of power, the young female Caballero grandchild, portrayed by the stunning Ara Davao, is compelled to get the attention of David, who is believed to be the Montenegro scion.

Meanwhile, in the correctional, Tanggol decides he wants to escape prison through the help of a new character played by Nonie Buencamino, Marcelo, who is actually Olga (Irma Adlawan)’s former flame and Bubbles (Ivana Alawi)’s biological father. He will mentor Tanggol in the ins and outs of the underground business. Therefore, Coco will be sporting a new look in the forthcoming episodes.

In addition to them, Malou Crisologo, Renz Fernandez, Yce Navarro, and Dan Alvaro are also part of the new cast.
