Just on Katherine’s (Ara Davao) first day at the mansion after tying the knot with David (McCoy De Leon), she immediately got on a heated argument with Ramon (Christopher de Leon), who blatantly expressed his disagreement with their marriage and maligned her grandfather, Don Facundo (Jaime Fabregas). Ramon then made David choose between the Montenegros and Caballeros as he asked him whose side he’ll take once the time comes that they will go head-to-head.
Divina (Rosanna Roces) brought Tanggol and his friends to an island to show some of her properties to them and to meet with the people they would work with for their gold trade business. She promised Tanggol that even though that they won’t be able to sell the “Star of Venus” gem yet, she would still help him as long as they remain good to her. While Tanggol and his friends were pleased by this, Primo and his group were still suspicious about Divina’s real identity and intention.
As she let the rest enjoy the beach, Divina asked Tanggol to come with her inside the villa to discuss with him how they will earn huge sums of money using both fake and real gold bars. During their conversation, Tanggol told Divina that he’s hoping that the people they would sell it to would be those who steal from other people’s pockets or public funds and not to ordinary people like them who are already suffering in life.
After giving Tanggol a full aerial view of her island through a helicopter ride, Divina invited Tanggol and the group of Primo to climb up the mountain with her to speak with the locals who they would hire to work with them. They were initially barred by a group of armed men from entering their area, but Tanggol was able to get their favor through negotiation.
Divina went on to discuss their business to the indigents, who were represented by their chieftain, Apo Manuel (Joel Sarancho). She told them that they would simply sell gold bars that Divina will provide to them to foreigners and convince the buyers that they dug it up in the mountains after it was buried there during the Japanese era. They will receive commission in every gold bar that they’re going to sell.
Tanggol chimed in by asking Divina if they could increase the percentage that the locals will get so in that way, if they make a lot, they might be able to buy the land their house is on. Divina agreed to it since it’s also her goal to help less privileged people like them to improve their situations, to which Apo Manuel and his constituents were thankful for. The indigents opened up about the problems in their community that they’ve been wishing to be resolved.
Before they left, Divina handed her calling card bearing the address of her office in Manila and several sums of money for their fare. Bothered that Divina didn’t inform the locals that they’re about to sell fake gold bars, Amanda (Lorna Tolentino) wanted to have a word with her.
An intense shootout between the Red Phoenix group and the henchmen of Montenegro erupted in Quiapo, as the latter aimed to finish off their rivals when it comes to drug trade. Since they were outnumbered, the Batang Tondo gang agreed to flee but the Quiapo police, led by Rigor (John Estrada) were able to immediately respond and caught Teban (Bassilyo) and Kidlat (Smugglaz). But since Angkong (Joonee Gamboa) has close ties with PMGEN Augustus V. Pacheco (Julio Diaz), they were freed thereafter.
Shippers of the FacunDeng tandem surely rejoiced as they had a few kilig moments in the past week’s episodes. First was when Tindeng (Charo Santos-Concio) cooked Katherine’s favorite sardines with vermicelli noodles for him for breakfast, which he truly liked. Thus, as his token of appreciation for the hearty meal she prepared, he didn’t just allow her to go on a day off, but also offered her a ride and then accompanied her as she visited her family in Quiapo.
Facundo asked Tindeng if she could take him around first since it has already been a long time since the last time he got there, to which she gladly obliged. He recounted that he actually used to work odd jobs there in his younger years and he had never forgotten that experience even though his status in life has already changed.
While Tindeng was catching up with her daughter, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), about the recent happenings in their household, an initially unidentified person, suddenly came to stab her at lower back abdomen and swiftly ran away. It was later on revealed that the culprit was none other than Olga (Irma Adlawan). Ramon immediately learned about it through the minion that he sent to spy on her.
Fortunately, Don Facundo and his bodyguards just came right in time to help Tindeng rush Marites to the hospital. It was also him who consoled her while waiting for the doctor’s update regarding her daughter’s condition. Tindeng learned from Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) that he noticed how she seemed to be bothered by something that he doesn’t know yet.
As soon as Marites regained consciousness, Tindeng bade goodbye to her and Santino as she and Facundo already had to leave. While Santino left to look for money they needed to pay for Marites’ hospital bill and medications, Ramon arrived at the hospital to visit Marites, as seen on the final gap of the September 6 episode.
