John vlogs Batang Quiapo in Baguio

John Estrada sure knows how to keep up with trends, having spent decades in the industry. Now that vlogging is one of the strongest forms of entertainment, he dabbles in the medium and infuses it with his unique style and personality. This way, he’s able to connect with fans as well.

With that being said, his latest vlog reveals all the fun happenings during the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” Barangayan and Kapamilya Karavan activities in Baguio City.

The video kicks off with the actor's trademark humor – of course, no vlog from the "best friend ng bayan" would be complete without his dad jokes. It served as his means of entertainment during the long travel to Baguio City. He mentioned that it has been years since his last visit, but he still has the same sense of wonder and admiration for the place.

He later joins his co-stars at the hotel for the briefing on the "Barangayan" parade and shows, which are part of the teleserye's first-anniversary celebration, as well as the Kapamilya Karavan featuring Baguio's Panagbenga Festival.

As they hopped onto their float for the parade, John remarked that his body struggled to adjust to the chilly weather. Nevertheless, he eagerly participated in the parade alongside his co-stars. Joining him on the same float, adorned with beautiful flowers to complement the festival's theme, were Cherry Pie Picache, McCoy de Leon, Yukii Takahashi, Ronwaldo Martin, and Dexie Diaz.

The ensemble cast arrived in full force, with notable names such as Ivana Alawi, Lito Lapid, Lorna Tolentino, and the lead himself, Coco Martin on another float. They enthusiastically waved and tossed "Batang Quiapo" merchandise, including caps and shirts, to an eager crowd of fans.

John and his castmates granted selfie requests from fans and giddily mingled with them. It was heartening to witness the warm welcome and unwavering support that the locals of Baguio City extended to Team Quiapo.

The video cuts to the actual show held at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, where the stars once again assembled to entertain their legions of followers with captivating performances.

As the cast of the DonBelle series “Can’t Buy Me Love” was also part of the Kapamilya Karavan, John’s daughter, Kaila Estrada, who plays Bettina Tiu in the said serye, made a brief cameo appearance in this vlog.

The video captured the father and daughter’s sweet dynamic as they exchanged playful banter. John hinted at an upcoming collab with Kaila, who jokingly suggested they take on the “Can’t Say No Challenge” where he shouldn’t refuse anything she’d make him buy. Sensing trouble, John jestingly replied, “Sa food trip na lang tayo, anak.”

“I’m so proud of her. Ang dami kong magagandang naririnig tungkol sa anak kong ito. I cannot be more proud as a father,” he said while spending downtime with Kaila backstage.

As a proud dad, he couldn’t resist taking a video of Kaila during her performance – just like any stage father would.  He requested his followers to continue supporting “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” as well as Kaila’s back-to-back teleseryes “Linlang The Teleserye Version” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.”
