FPJ’s Batang Quiapo June 24 to June 28

What was supposed to be an exciting and happy day for Bubbles (Ivana Alawi) and her loved ones turned out to become the grimmest day of their lives after Pablo (Elijah Canlas) abducted her and made her suffer exactly on her birthday. Thus, we’re sure to see more action in the next episodes as Tanggol (Coco Martin) vowed to hit back at him. At the same time, another scorching confrontation transpired in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo last week (June 24 to June 28) as a furious and relentless Tindeng assailed Lena on her supposed visit to Marites.

The previous week commenced with Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) being reprimanded by Coach Gary (Levi Ignacio) after his Kuya Tanggol (Coco Martin), who swung by to visit him, caused a commotion during his boxing match at the gym upon witnessing that the opponent, Tisoy (Zeus Collins), was cheating. Thus, as a way of saving Sandino from being heavily injured and retaliating at his challenger, Tanggol instantly jumped on the ring to throw jabs at Tisoy and everyone who dared to attack him.

After being almost abducted by the henchmen of Ramon (Christopher de Leon), Edwin (Ping Medina) took his parents with him to the Red Phoenix’s hideout. As Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) was about to drive them away, Marcing suggested that he and his wife Nita (Susan Africa) could help them discreetly sell and deliver illegal drugs in Quiapo. Roy (Jeffrey Tam) was not keen on the idea as he’s worried that their operations may get derailed, yet Angkong (Joonee Gamboa) and Sonya (Sisa Jamito) guaranteed that they’re going to be fine since they’re already backed by PMGen Augustus Pacheco (Julio Diaz).

But in order to make it possible, Lucio and his minions had to ambush the convoy of Pacheco and coerce him and his men to come with them to meet with Angkong. Pacheco agreed to be their protector in exchange for the hefty initial payment and 30% share that he offered to him, as well as Angkong’s promise to help him get Amanda (Lorna Tolentino) back.

Upon learning that her grandma, Señora Bettina (Tessie Tomas), didn’t allow Tindeng (Charo Santos) to go on a day off to visit her family in Quiapo, Katherine (Ara Davao) took it upon herself to grant her request. She told her Mamita that she would meet up with her friend and had to tag Tindeng along to be her chaperone, to which the unsuspecting old woman consented.

As Bubbles’ (Ivana Alawi) loved ones prepared a little surprise party for her to celebrate her birthday at home and excitedly waited for her to arrive, they were shocked when Tanggol returned without her after they went to Quiapo together. Anxious that she might have been harmed, Tanggol quickly returned to Quiapo to look for her. There, he crossed paths with Katherine, whom he helped by knocking down the snatcher who took away her bag. She attempted to pay him for his good deed, which he declined and continued with his quest.

Tindeng then asked her if they could visit her family, to which the former agreed since she wanted to further explore the area as well. Upon arriving at Marites’ stall, Tindeng chanced upon Roda (Joel Lamangan), who relayed to him that Tanggol was already emancipated and that her son-in-law Rigor (John Estrada) brought home his mistress Lena (Mercdes Cabral).

That, of course, infuriated Tindeng and prompted her to immediately go to their house to confront Lena. She harshly dragged Lena out of her old room, and this resulted in an intense altercation between them, with Lena wrathfully aiming her gun at Tindeng and the old woman irately pointing a balisong at her as Katherine and the neighbors watched them in bated breaths.

The two women only stopped when Camille (Yukii Takahashi) suddenly felt a sharp pain in her womb. As Tindeng expressed concern for her, Camille advised her to simply leave in order to avoid things getting worse. Later that night, an intense argument sparked at the Dimaguiba household anew when Marites learned about what happened.

As Lena once again told lies and refuted Camille’s claims of what really happened in pursuit of manipulating Rigor and protecting herself, a scorching row erupted among them, especially when Rigor chose to believe Lena. Prior to that, it was Camille and David who got into a fight after the latter got mad when the former snatched his phone away from him. That’s when David confronted Camille, saying that she didn’t have the right to meddle with his personal affairs since they’re not yet married and she’s nothing but a mere “disgrasyada” for him. They only stopped when Rigor chastised them, as prompted by Lena.

At the same time, Señora Bettina got alarmed upon finding out that Katherine went to Quiapo with Tindeng through a video that Catherine captured on her phone in which Tanggol could be seen fighting with the snatcher. Thus, Bettina reprimanded both Katherine and Tindeng and prohibited her granddaughter from speaking with the latter.

Meanwhile, Tanggol and Bubbles’ loved ones were absolutely horrified when she arrived in a miserable state and found out straight from her that she was sexually assaulted by a group of unidentified men who abducted her while walking all by herself in Quiapo. While they were still reeling from what happened to Bubbles, Pablo (Elijah Canlas) and his henchmen riddled their house with bullets, which compelled them to seek refuge at Jelly’s (Kim Rodriguez) house. Fortunately, her parents, Lourdes (Jean Saburit) and Goodah (Lito Camo) agreed to take them in despite the situation.

Since they had no other suspects aside from Pablo, Tanggol is eager to exact vengeance on him and make him pay for what he did to Bubbles and her loved ones, as well as to him. Despite being hindered by Jelly and Emong (Nikko Natividad) from carrying out his plans against Pablo, Tanggol proved himself to be unstoppable.

Rave comments from netizens

Netizens who were able to catch the episodes of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo in the previous week weren’t able to hold their horses as they bluntly expressed how they felt while watching certain scenes through their tweets on X (formerly Twitter).

Many were obviously thrilled and satisfied by the much-awaited confrontation scene between Tindeng and Lena and heaped praises on Charo and Mercedes for successfully pulling it off and delivering mind-blowing performances. At the same time, there were also some who poked fun at the scene since many assumed that Camille would finally give birth – another event in the series that has been looked forward to by avid viewers.

Of course, the gigil towards David, Rigor, and Lena is still persistent, as is our amusement towards Roda. There were also some who couldn’t help but notice the chemistry between Coco and Ara in their very first scene together.

Below are some of the rave comments from netizens that we’d spotted and collated for everyone to see:
