FPJ’s Batang Quiapo Sept 23 to Sept 27

In the previous week’s (September 23 to September 27) episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” the reunion between ex-lovers Marcelo (Nonie Buencamino) and Olga (Irma Adlawan) that many avid viewers had been waiting for finally happened, yet in quite untimely circumstance. At the same time, the fake gold-selling venture of Divina (Rosanna Roces) and Tanggol (Coco Martin) finally rolled off.

Even though they were able to get out of the stable, Tindeng (Charo Santos) and Noy (Lou Veloso) failed to escape from the security personnel of the Caballeros, who immediately brought them to Doña Bettina (Tessie Tomas). A scorching altercation ensued between the two ferocious old women, which only ceased when Don Facundo (Jaime Fabregas) meddled and took them away from each other.

Ardent shippers of the FacunDeng tandem certainly got kilig when Don Facundo offered Tindeng and Noy a temporary place to stay as his way of expressing his apologies to all the horrible things that his wife has done to them. She was initially hesitant to accept it, but eventually heeded to Noy’s appeal to take it at least just for the night since they had no place to go to yet. Don Facundo brought them to the first-ever property that he bought where he was supposed to raise his family, but that didn’t happen anymore.

Just when Ramon (Christopher de Leon) thought that he was going to succeed in eliminating his former business partner, by making Mr. Villegas (Bong Regala) as their pawn, they were outsmarted by the old man’s most trusted right-hand Marcelo as it was him who showed up. A deadly gunfight broke out between the Caballero minions and the Montenegros, in which the much-awaited confrontations of Marcelo with the Montenegros finally happened.

Marcelo was able to gravely shoot Don Julio and got reunited with his ex-flame, Olga, who told her that they had a daughter – Bubbles (Ivana Alawi). These high-octane face-offs among veteran thespians Nonie, Christopher, Irma, and Tommy indeed brought excitement to the viewers because of how they were able to astonishingly pull off those nail-biting sequences.

While the skirmish that transpired incited another chaos among the Montenegros as soon as they arrived at their mansion, Marcelo recounted his past interactions with Bubbles without knowing that she was his daughter and vowed to avenge her untimely demise.

A heated argument also erupted between Divina and Amanda (Lorna Tolentino) as the former lost her temper when the latter questioned her competence after the failed transaction with Mr. Geronimo (KC Montero) that almost put the lives of Tanggol and his friends on the line because it’s all just a set-up. Amanda, Primo (Lito Lapid), and Berting (Joey Marquez) once again warned Tanggol about putting his complete trust on Divina, but he was adamant and reiterated that Divina is a benevolent person, so they must treat them kindly as well.

The following day, as they were harassed by the son of a certain Don Felipe to pay their debts to them in full, the Taga-Islas spearheaded by Apo Manuel (Joel Sarracho), finally accepted Divina and Tanggol’s job offer for them to sell gold bars. Thus, they immediately go to the city to speak to them and be oriented about what they’re going to do.

Deeply concerned about their safety, Tanggol still opted to disclose to the naïve Taga-Islas that the gold bars they’re about to sell were just fake despite Divina’s disapproval for him to do so. Apo Manuel and Ima (Kim Molina) indeed got furious upon learning about, but Ato (Jerald Napoles) was able to convince them to pursue the opportunity since their townsfolks were depending on them.

While Roda (Joel Lamangan) gained the favor of the viewers anew for his sensible advice to Rigor (John Estrada) about obtaining the forgiveness of his youngest son, Santino (Ronwaldo Martin), Rigor once again riled us up as he pinned the blame on Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) for the latest mess that their family is going through and imposed on his wife to never hide anything from him again.

The investigations about Rigor’s illicit affair with Lena (Mercedes Cabral) has already started, with two police officers from the internal affairs department going to Quiapo to ask around about him. They then chanced upon Roda, who swore to cooperate with them by “telling the truth and nothing but the truth.”

On her way to her stall in the market, Marites was spotted by Ramon and a confrontation sparked between them. Marites attempted to get away from him but failed, as Ramon was able to catch up with her and told her that he just wanted to provide her with security after the stabbing incident. But she declined it and told him that she would never accept anything from him anymore.

Meanwhile, the Taga-Islas finally started offering golds to foreigners that pass by them, but failed on their first attempts. Seeing their struggle in convincing the two foreigners who finally showed interest to their items, the groups of Tanggol and Primo approached them and displayed themselves as potential buyers.

Their collective effort, which amused viewers, was a success, as they were able to deceive the two foreigners and persuade them that they were offering authentic gold for only P1 million, especially when they had the gold bar checked at a pawnshop. The attendants confirmed that it was indeed real and costs P4.5 million.

As Tanggol, Amanda, and Berting conveyed their bids that were much lower to the asking price, the foreigners suddenly chimed in and said that they would take it for P5 million and are interested to buy more. Thus, the Taga-Islas would bring them to the place where they hid the chest filled with gold bars, as per the instruction of Divina. Meanwhile, the groups of Tanggol and Primo will keep an eye on them to assure their safety.
