Coco brings out this ‘camaraderie’ effect on set!
There’s no doubt that Coco Martin’s character, Tanggol, has got a crew for life – Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo), Tanos (Mark “Big Mak” Andaya), Owen (Renz “Baby Giant” Bana), Dolfo (Ryan Martin), and Bulldog (Sugar Ray “Mammoth” Estroso), even though they’re currently stuck in the correctional facility, unlike lucky Tanggol, who got acquitted from the charges filed against him.
But hey, it’s also refreshing to see Tanggol branching out and meeting new faces too! In recent episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” our hero tracked down Bubbles (Ivana Alawi) after his father, Rigor (John Estrada), kicked him out of their house following his release from jail, and was offered her place as temporary shelter. But that’s not all. The narrative took an exciting turn when he met her quirky buddies and the characters at the local bar where she works.
And true to his reputation as the Primetime King and one of the most beloved actors in the industry, Coco effortlessly bonds with his new co-stars. While viewers are enthralled by the show’s intense fight sequences and heart-pounding chase, behind the scenes, Coco also knows how to let loose and have fun with his castmates.
Check out some of their off-cam moments here:
In the story, Bubbles received help from her friend Jelly (Kim Rodriguez) to start anew and secure a job at the same bar where she’s also employed. Jelly is naturally bubbly, but she’s noticeably extra warm towards Tanggol, whom she also assisted in his job application at the bar.
Are there any Tanggol-Jelly shippers out there?
Adding to the excitement is the unexpected appearance of Niño Muhlach in the teleserye, portraying the role of the sports bar owner, Baste, better known as "Boss B."
Nikko Natividad was also introduced as Emong, the ‘apo’ of Bubbles’ foster grandma. Neil Coleta plays Obet, the right-hand man of Boss B. These guys don’t feel the need to hide their annoyance towards Tanggol, viewing him as a threat. But, in real life, they only see Coco as a friend.
Don’t miss an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” airing weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
