Over two years ago, their blooming romance was immediately marred with controversy. A great example of a 'you-and-me-against-the-world' love story as they were bombarded with snide comments from bashers. But lovebirds Sunshine Garcia and Alex Castro have proven that they wouldn’t let anyone or anything destroy them as they’re willing to fight for each other against all odds.
Browsing through their Instagram accounts, pure happiness and love are very evident in their wide smiles and cheesy snaps together, as they flaunt their toned bods during their beach trips in their sweet poses during their sojourns abroad, and just enjoy their date nights and gym time.
Despite not wanting to have an affair with someone in show business and/or politics as what she confessed in her guesting in Magandang Buhay, Sunshine’s plans were set aside upon meeting the dashing and talented actor-singer who is said to tick out all the characteristics she looks for in a guy. She also imparted that they still see themselves together in the future, thus the reason behind their term of endearment 'Hubby' and 'Wifey'.
In her media interviews, the sexy comedienne revealed that they’re talking about marriage and settling down already, but they do not want to rush things yet and they wish to focus first on their respective commitments. Sunshine is a mainstay in the long-running gag show Banana Sundae while Alex juggles his time as board member in the fourth District of Bulacan and his stint in the acclaimed drama Wildflower as Rufo.
When the time comes that her beau will finally propose to her, Sunshine enthusiastically shared in an exclusive chat with PUSH.com.ph that she would definitely accept it and say yes right away.
She also implied four important things to have a long-lasting and healthy relationship before even loving one another. These are having similar interests, empathy, respect, and trust.
“Eh, sa aming dalawa, as in, nagkakaintindihan kami. Give and take kaming dalawa. Wala yung parang nagiging selfish siya, and siguro ganu’n talaga pag nagma-matured na yung utak ng isang tao,” she disclosed.
The couple both came from a rival network, where the sexy star used to be a member of the popular all-female dance group Sexbomb Girls for eight years before deciding to focus on her acting career. On the other hand, the actor-politician is a product of a reality music competition in 2009 where he won second place and transferred to the Kapamilya network the next year and since then appeared often in the anthologies Precious Hearts Romances, Maalaala Mo Kaya, and Wansapanataym.
We’re cheering for your forever, Alex and Sunshine!
