Everyone has something to fear. It can go as common as fear of animals or as strange as dreading one’s own reflection. In this video, the young stars of the newest Kapamilya afternoon soap, Bagong Umaga share their top three biggest scares.

Kiko Estrada, playing the role of Otep in the series, has this badass appeal, an aura that spells fearless. But, the truth is he also has demons of his own: ghosts, sharks, and heights!

It might be ironic to know that doll-like beauty, Michelle Vito, is afraid of dolls which most girls consider as sweet and pretty. She also has arachnophobia or fear of spiders and entomophobia or fear of insects. On screen, Michelle plays the ‘palaban’ Angge in Bagong Umaga.

Ghosts will likewise send shivers down the spine of Yves Flores. He used to be terrified of heights as well but he managed to cope. Perhaps his previous military training for a teleserye was a big help. And, showing a hint of sentimentality, he said he’s scared of losing a loved one. Yves plays as the adoptive son, Dodong.

Creeping creatures like snakes and worms will test the calm of Barbie Imperial. Many of us can surely relate! The gorgeous actress is also musophobic – or scared of rats. Barbie adds color and conflict as Cai in the upcoming Kapamilya coming-of-age series.

It’s not surprising to know that even macho men like Tony Labrusca can take fright at the little flying gut-churning cockroaches. He also shares the fear of ghosts with his co-actors.  And just thinking about dying horrifies Tony, who portrays Ely.   

Heaven Peralejo’s anxieties are a bit special and endearing, except the utterly common and spine-chilling trypophobia. The lead star, playing as Tisay, dreads of getting scolded by her directors. “So, talagang mine-memorize ko ‘yung scripts tsaka ginagawa ko ‘yung gusto nila,” she said. Heaven is scared to see her mom blowing up as well.
