Barbie Imperial gives viewers behind-the-scenes sneak peek of her death scene in Bagong Umaga

Taking a break from the intense and dramatic scenes in Bagong Umaga, Barbie Imperial gave us a tour on the set of the barkadaserye as she introduced to us some of their hardworking and talented staff and crew, as well as her beloved Mama Bing who accompanies her in the lock-in taping.

She also sneakily filmed her soundly sleeping co-star and friend Tony Labrusca, who portrays Ely, and delighted us with the beauty of Sunshine Cruz, who plays as her mom Dra. Margaret Veradona.

Aside from the people she works with, the 22-year-old actress also imparted the preparations she usually does before she enters the set, such as having her makeup done, discussing the scene she’s going to do, and practicing her lines.

She may not have specifically elaborated what’s going to happen to Cai in the coming episodes, but the footage in this video are already enough hints for us to expect that her character will be in danger, which will eventually lead to her untimely death.

Barbie could be seen being loaded to an ambulance and rushed to the hospital. Then one of their directors went on to instruct her co-actors Tony and Sunshine on how that critical and dramatic hospital scene should be executed while she lies down on bed.

That scene apparently involves heavy drama, especially because Sunshine needs to establish the feeling of sorrow for the death of her character's daughter Cai. The director also reminds Barbie that she should make it seem that she’s not affected since she’s trying to be revived on that particular scene.

We got to confirm that Cai will indeed die as the young actress gave us a peek on the makeshift coffin in which she will be laid down. It was only like a bed and over her body was a transparent acetate film that made her amazingly look like she is really inside a coffin.

After shooting her last scene, Barbie was urged by everyone to give her parting message, which made her apparently emotional.

“Siyempre gusto ko lang po mag-‘thank you’ sa inyong lahat, sa lahat ng naging part ng show na ‘to. Sobrang thankful ako dahil ang dami kong natutunan talaga sa show na ‘to and I’m sorry sa mga naapektuhan ng mga nangyari dito sa taping. I’m very thankful to Ate Cath, Direk, and everyone,” she said.

Then she continued, “Thank you, thank you sa inyong lahat. Sobrang ‘di ko makakalimutan ‘tong Bagong Umaga. Ang daming memories at ito ang first project ko na lock-in, na para tayong nasa PBB lahat. ‘Yun, love you all and thank you everyone.”

She wrapped up her vlog by uttering “Cai Verdaona signing off” and giving us a sweet flying kiss.

Do not miss an episode of Bagong Umaga, weekdays after It’s Showtime on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, and iWantTFC.
