Despite the challenging year, ABS-CBN mounted its yearly Christmas Special for 2020 to bring “liwanag at ligaya” to Kapamilyas. Here, as in previous years, the biggest Kapamilya stars—from teen sensations, matinee idols and leading ladies to love teams, singers, and news personalities gathered to offer splendid and powerful performance in the spirit of the season.

Part of the glittering event, carrying the ABS-CBN Christmas ID theme “Ikaw Ang Liwanag At Ligaya”, were stars of the barkadaserye Bagong Umaga, whose thrilling presence of its onscreen tandems brought much kilig to viewers. Tony Labrusca and Heaven Peralejo, Yves Flores and Barbie Imperial, and Kiko Estrada and Michelle Vito gave their heartfelt duets during the Kapamilya love teams performance. 

Michelle and Kiko performed “Ikaw at Ako”, while Heaven and Tony sang “Ikaw Pala,” and Barbie and Yves warmed hearts with “Magkabilang Mundo.”

The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2020 was not all about celebration and performances, but also for a charitable cause. Ticket sales from KTX that allowed fans to become part of the show by appearing on screens in the concert stage will go to Sagip Kapamilya’s “Tulong-Tulong Sa Pag-Ahon” for the benefit of victims of the recent typhoons.
