Barbie Imperial’s captivating, brilliant performances in Kapamilya dramas through the years

Barbie Imperial continues to mesmerize audiences with her allure and charm since she first appeared on Pinoy Big Brother 737 in 2015 as the "Doll Along Da Riles ng Albay.” Her stint in the reality show paved the way for her in jumpstarting a showbiz career. After her exit from PBB, Barbie was immediately landed a supporting role in the 2015 romantic fantasy drama series All of Me as the character Apple de Asis.

The following year, Barbie’s life story was featured in the MMK episode “Riles,” wherein she portrayed herself. She captivated everyone even more with her acting prowess when she did more MMK projects in the succeeding years, including the episodes “Journal,” in which she starred opposite Paulo Angeles portraying the role of Alanis, and the episode “Lipstick” where she did an exceptional portrayal of life coach Maria Pau.

Barbie also became a part in the extended cast of the family drama series Langit Lupa which aired from 2016-2017 wherein she played the role of Jenny. She also had several remarkable appearances in Ipaglaban Mo including the episode “Sementado” as Jenny opposite Jerome Ponce and Enzo Pineda. Barbie also took on the role of the kind and bubbly daughter and friend Manilyn in the episode “Saklolo” in 2017. The young actress continued to appear in Ipaglaban Mo in the succeeding years as she became part of “Mulat” and “Set-up” in 2018, and “Saltik” in 2019.

Barbie was also busy working in the fantasy anthology Wansapanataym, appearing in the episodes “Gelli in a Bottle” with the now couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, and in “Switch Be With You,” wherein she portrayed the character of a conceited and selfish sales executive.

In 2018, Barbie snagged her first-ever teleserye lead role as Michelle "Mich" Verano/Anna Vida de Alegre-Olvidar in the drama series under Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi. In this breakthrough series, Barbie was paired with Kapamilya actor JM de Guzman. Barbie also did a great job in starring as one of the officers part of Task Force Agila in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano led by lead star and director Coco Martin in 2020.

For sure, we will all be captivated again with Barbie’s acting prowess in her upcoming drama series Bagong Umaga, wherein she will breathe life into the character Catherine Veradona, the only child of Magui (Sunshine Cruz) and Ian Veradona (Cris Villanueva), who works hard and does everything just so she can receive the love she yearns from her parents.
