Shy Carlos is a rising star who has since graduated from doing cameo portrayals to playing major roles on film and TV. She started her career with the all-female group Pop Girls alongside fellow member Nadine Lustre.

Nadine and Shy left the group to pursue respective acting careers.

Shy was since cast in different TV dramas and began appearing on Kapamilya programs in the 2013 teleserye Annaliza. In the following year, she landed a breakthrough role in the successful daytime teleserye Be Careful with My Heart, wherein she played Joni, the love interest of Luke (Jerome Ponce).

Also in 2014, Shy also appeared as a VJ on MTV Pinoy and starred in the films “Past Tense” with Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, “All You Need Is Pag-Ibig” with Kris Aquino, Derek Ramsay, KimXi, Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion, and in “Para Sa Hopeless Romantic”, reuniting with Pop Girls co-member Nadine, James Reid and Inigo Pascual.

Just last year, Shy snagged a leading role opposite Empoy Marquez in the action comedy “The Barker.”
Now, as part of the fantasy drama series Bagani, Shy plays the role of Alon, who is among the Taga-Kalakal (traders). She captured the heart of Lakas’ (Enrique Gil) close friend Kidlat (Rayver Cruz) in the story.
