From agitating us with her vicious and fiery acts as Emilia Ardiente - Torillo in the revenge drama Wildflower, Aiko Melendez goes back to the primetime block as the ferocious and fearless Matadora in the fantasy series Bagani.
On April 8 this year, she posted a photo of her and friend and co-star Thou Reyes on Instagram in which they are both in fighting stance, introducing herself as the "Reyna ng Kaharian ng mga Tulisang-dagat" (or Queen of the Pirates) and expressed her readiness to an imminent bloodshed against the heroes of Sansinukob and its people.
In one of its episodes, it was revealed that her audacity initially ignited due to a traumatic experience in the hands of a brutal maharlika who ruthlessly hurt her because of a small mistake. Her loving mom attempted to rescue her but was slapped so hard. Witnessing this, she impetuously snatched the abuser's dagger from his holster and stabbed him on the back and chest.
This fueled Matadora to become the fearsome woman and warrior who relentlessly aims to conquer more nations and attain immense power through invading them with the help of her strong throng.
However, the powerful and valiant Baganis of Sansinukob give them a hard time to accomplish their mission as they are willing to sacrifice their precious lives for their fellowmen.
Aiko may be terrifying on her current feat, by simply looking on her fierce makeup and rugged ensemble, but she is completely different when the reels are not rolling. She is amicable and cheerful towards her colleagues and friends, and even took on the peculiar electric fan challenge.
