Dante (Rommel Padilla) decides to tag along with Minda (Mickey Ferriols) to an outreach program in Mindanao. He requested for a leave of absence, so they could use their time to visit Alex (Gerald Anderson) at the camp as well. Minda relieves the unspoken jealousy hinted at Elmer (Vin Abrenica)’s reaction upon learning about his parents’ activities. She explains that the venue coincidentally falls near Alex’s location. Nonetheless, Elmer volunteers to drop his parents at the airport.
A happy reunion happens between Alex and his parents. Dante makes a way to excuse Alex from his senior officers, so he could spend the night with them at the hotel. Minda requests to drop by the public market to buy ingredients for Alex’s favorite dish. While Alex is at the other corner buying fruits, Minda goes to the wet area to make another purchase.
In what seems like a work of fate, Minda encounters Yasmin (Irma Adlawan) at a chicken meat stall. Yasmin gives way and lets Minda pick the piece she’s also eyeing. She then hides her face when Alex enters the scene to check on his mom. She clearly remembers Alex as the soldier who cornered Saal (Sid Lucero) in a recent attack. In the previous scene, Yasmin also told Fatima (Nikki Valdez) that the soldier’s face has never been out of her mind since the encounter.
Out of curiosity and gut feel, Yasmin follows Alex and Minda. Her anger becomes inflamed upon seeing Dante waiting for them, prompting her memories of the skirmish that took her husband and youngest son away from her.
