In its eight months on-air, A Soldier’s Heart has never failed to make our weeknight primetime viewing exhilarating and enjoyable as it provides us scenes that are action-packed, dramatic, and heart fluttering.
However, apart from the compelling and exceptional performances of its stellar ensemble and the seamless, top-caliber, and fascinating execution of every scene, what makes it extra heart-rending is its theme song “Hanggang Mamatay”, which is written and sung by renowned OPM icon Noel Cabangon.
And just days after the commemoration of National Heroes’ Day and three weeks prior to the finale, RCD Narratives, the production unit behind this well-loved teleserye, released the official music video for the said song last Tuesday, September 2.
The song emotively talks about the patriotism of the Filipinos and our willingness to undergo hardships and make sacrifices for the people and things that matter to us, which makes it truly fitting for the series that depicts the lives of our valiant soldiers.
The music video shows how the journey of each lead character inside the military camp began, those moments that Alex (Gerald Anderson) crossed paths with his biological family and he found out the truth about his true identity, the instance his comrades discovered Alex’s connection with the leaders of the rebel group they’re fighting against, his arrest and the death of his adoptive father Dante (Rommel Padilla), and his much-awaited face-off with his estranged biological brother Saal Alhuraji (Sid Lucero).
