While on a quick run in the public market, Yasmin (Irma Adlawan) runs across Dante (Rommel Padilla) and Minda (Mickey Ferriols) who are in Mindanao that time for a charity drive. She begs Fatima (Nikki Valdez) not to tell Saal (Sid Lucero) about the incident to avoid stirring her son’s violent tendencies. Besides, they are still in the process of starting anew after having been wiped out by the military. However, Fatima would later on ignite Saal’s rage by telling him the truth.
While the Alhurajis are in distress, the Marasigan family spends a happy reunion together. Alex (Gerald Anderson) opens up his bottled emotions concerning the failure to kill Abdul Waajid (Sid Lucero) on their first encounter. Speaking from experience, Dante reminds Alex that he isn’t the first soldier not to pull the trigger. They are humans after all, still inclined to protect an innocent individual’s life. Dante adds that being on top of the class does not save a soldier from feeling fears he never thought existed. And if Alex calls himself a failure, there is always a chance to do better.
On the ground breaking ceremonies of Dante and Minda’s project, the embittered Yasmin continues to spy on the ranger. She comes home to a furious Saal showing her Dante’s surveillance photo. Yasmin tries hard to soothe her son’s anger and pleads him to avoid making reckless decisions. But no amount of persuasion will tame Saal’s bursting emotions.
Saal stands by Dante’s hotel and fires at the target.
