Memories of the past starts to haunt Dante (Rommel Padilla) when Saal (Sid Lucero) tried to shoot him as revenge for Yosef (Lito Pimentel)’s death. The incident ignites Alex (Gerald Anderson)’s curiosity, eager to know why his father has become the perpetrator’s target. His secret investigations lead him to the close cased of Yosef Alhuraji and a skirmish at Opol, Misamis Oriental in 1997. The discovery pushes Col. Fontiveros (Nor Domingo) to halt further interactions between Alex and Victor (Ariel Rivera), scared to let the latter know about his beloved grandson’s relation to the Alhurajis.
Col. Fontiveros dismisses Alex’s request to become part of the intelligence unit and transfers him to Lourd (Sue Ramirez)’s platoon. The shuffling casts a smile on Alex’s buddies teasing him to the girl he likes. Lourd’s team encounters an improvised explosive device while searching in the woods to confirm reported terrorist sightings. The female lieutenant orders Alex to diffuse the bomb after instructing him of the specific wires to cut. The scene is enveloped in suspense as the soldiers hold their breath while entrusting their lives to Alex’s success. One wrong move can bring them all to death.
Meanwhile, Saal’s group struggles to recover after having been betrayed by one of its members. Tired of jumping from one hideout to another, Saal decides to join forces with Nassir (Zeppi Borromeo)’s faction even if it means bowing down to his rival. Nassir secretly hatches a plan to get rid of Saal’s cluster in time, as instructed by a certain congressman.
