Phil (Jerome Ponce) and Benjie (Yves Flores) attend Alex (Gerald Anderson)’s birthday celebration. They have fun, forgoing the awkward incident that almost tore their friendship apart. A past episode showed Benjie accidentally landing his lips unto Phil’s cheeks. As they head home, Benjie brings up what happened and apologizes to his buddy. Phil gets annoyed and says he doesn’t want to dwell on the ‘accident’, scared of what could possibly come out on Benjie’s confession. The latter takes the courage to hint at his feelings, expressing that the ‘kiss’ wasn’t just an accident for him. Benjie opts to just walk away when Phil attempts to incite violence.
Meanwhile, in Mindanao, Abe (Carlo Aquino) still struggles to receive Aaliyah (Elora Espano)’s forgiveness. He brings a piece of red rose on his visit, hoping that it would somehow soothe his fiancée’s anger. But Aaliyah remains embittered and unforgiving, telling Abe that she needs his presence not just for a few hours but for a lifetime. Abe’s smile turns into an expression of sadness as he knows Aaliyah is trying to point out his inability to give her all his hours due to his work as a soldier. Aaliyah shuts the door.
At the base, Michael (Nash Aguas) excitedly tells Abe that he is going back to trainings. He observes Abe’s melancholy. So, Michael enlightens the heartbroken soldier to keep on knocking on Aaliyah’s door until she lets him in again.
Heeding to Michael’s advice, Abe goes back to Aaliyah’s house but only to get his heart shattered into pieces again. Abe heads home to seek his mother’s comfort. He wonders if pursuing his dream of becoming a soldier is a selfish thing to do that it crushed his desire to build his own family. Abe’s mother embraces him and urges him not to give up.
