At the Scout Ranger Trainings in Camp Pablo Tecson, Phil (Jerome Ponce) distributes outside food to his comrades despite knowing that it could possibly lead to his dismissal from the trainings. Others give in to what he considers as a little act of help but some refuses to join in the act especially his buddies from the 4th Infantry Division. An argument even flares between Phil and Abe (Carlo Aquino) as the latter voices out his disapproval and insists his principle. Jethro (Elmo Magalona)’s voice echoes in the middle of the squadron’s sleep as he asks them to line up, following the commandant’s instructions. Phil’s sleepiness fades as the officer shows a bag of snacks retrieved in the camp. No one speaks up.
Everyone would be punished until the real culprit reveals himself or someone from the team discloses the truth. Abe is in the brink of selling out Phil to the superiors, causing a brawl between them. The scuffle ends and all the trainees stand upright when the commandant enters the scene. Abe calls the captain’s attention and is about to speak up. But even before words come out of Abe’s mouth, Phil raises his voice to take responsibility for the violation. When asked who else are involved in the offense, Abe says that he is and so does Alex (Gerald Anderson), Benjie (Yves Flores), Jethro, and other troopers.
The commandant knows that the squadron is playing tricks on him, so he demands for another round of wallowing in the mud. But instead of getting completely furious, the instructor even admires the trainees’ willingness to protect each other because in the army and in times of war, brotherhood is an essential part of survival.
Later, the group pushes Phil and Abe to patch up their differences. Abe reveals that he called the commandant’s attention a while ago not to report Phil’s misdeed but supposedly act as the sacrificial lamb.
