At the Marasigan residence, Alex (Gerald Anderson) celebrates his birthday through a party attended by their family friends, military officers, and his buddies except Jethro (Elmo Magalona) who remains unconscious in the hospital, Abe (Carlo Aquino) who is in Mindanao, and Michael (Nash Aguas) who is on duty at that time.
Albeit he does his best to entertain the visitors, Alex still seems unhappy and scared that a special guest might not come. Minda (Mickey Ferriols) notes the sadness in Alex’s face. So, she urges her son to cheer up until their conversation turns into a loving exchange of gratitude for being each other’s family. Alex says that he will never trade his mother for anyone else.
Alex’s mood turns brighter when Lourd (Sue Ramirez) finally arrives bringing a box of cake for him, drawing teases from his friends. The two then share a friendly conversation in the living room. Lourd gives Alex a slice of cake, saying the flavour was her personal choice. Alex volunteers to drop the lady home, telling her that it’s his obligation to ensure her safety because after all, they are friends. Lourd quickly breaks the awkward silence.
Before the day ends, Alex finally gets the chance to talk with Victor (Ariel Rivera) in private. He hands him a flash drive containing a CCTV footage that proves Congressman Sakili (Levi Ignacio)’s abduction, debunking the politician’s claims. But Alex pleads Victor not to tell Dante (Rommel Padilla) about their conversation.
