The Scout Rangers move in pursuit of a group of terrorists led by Hassan (Lorenz Martinez) who took hostages from the town of Tugano. Lourd (Sue Ramirez), having been shot in the shoulder, is also abducted by the rebels. The army is able to locate the enemies’ camp after taking on a mountainous terrain overnight. A skirmish happens. The rangers fight with all their might in the battlefield while several members of the terror group manage to escape.
Alex (Gerald Anderson) and two other troopers carry Lourd on a stretcher while going on a hike to the hospital. Unfortunately, a surprise attack blocks their way. The other two soldiers die in the encounter while Alex tries his best to protect a wounded and frail Lourd, causing him a gun shot on his leg. Lourd takes this as cue to still take her rifle and fire at the opponents while enduring an excruciating pain due to a wound that’s already starting to become infected.
Alex and Lourd take a rest in the middle of the forest while waiting for rescue or the perfect time to leave. Enemies might still be lurking just around the area. Alex keeps himself alert of possible danger. Lourd displays concern towards Alex as she nurses his wound.
A few moments has passed. Alex and Lourd are still stuck in the mountains. Alex is on the lookout while they try to move as far as they could. However, Lourd is already starting to feel feverish and delirious. Alex does his best to ease Lourd’s discomfort. He embraces her to keep her warm. Still in a state of delirium, Lourd cups Alex’s face and professes her love for him upon mistaking him for Noah.
