After getting into a vehicular accident, Jethro (Elmo Magalona) remains unconscious in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A remorseful Victor (Ariel Rivera) stays by his side, still guilty for being too stern. He explains that his desire to push Jethro into the military is the only way he could think of to give his son a second family, a brotherhood Jethro could rely to once he’s gone. The patient’s hands flicker, as though acknowledging his father’s apology. Lourd (Sue Ramirez) pays a visit, urging Jethro to wake up and lifting Victor’s hopes up.
Afterwards, Lourd heads to the Marasigan residence to hand Dante (Rommel Padilla) an envelope containing a confidential file. She is surprised to see a pregnant Grace (Claire Ruiz), the woman she previously got jealous of and assumed as Alex (Gerald Anderson)’s ex-girlfriend. Her doubts end when Elmer (Vin Abrenica) introduces Grace as his partner.
Aware of Lourd’s role in Alex’s life, Minda (Mickey Ferriols) tries to get to know her better by requesting for the female officer’s company in the grocery store. The two ladies share a light conversation about Alex and his favorite meals in line of his upcoming birthday celebration, oblivious to a tailing Yasmin (Irma Adlawan). They soon arrive home. Still through Minda’s matchmaking efforts, Lourd takes the back ride on Alex’s motorcycle. Meanwhile, Elmer, Dante, and Grace leave the house as well to buy the other needs for Alex’s party.
Lourd thanks Alex for dropping her home. Alex takes the moment to open up on Congressman Sakiili (Levi Ignacio)’s abduction, hoping that Lourd would lend him her ears. Lourd simply advises Alex to try seeking Victor’s opinion on his wish to open an investigation regarding the incident. Before parting ways, Alex invites Lourd to attend his birthday party.
