Dante (Rommel Padilla) decides to tag along with Minda (Mickey Ferriols) to an outreach program in Mindanao; and to visit Alex (Gerald Anderson) at the camp as well. A happy reunion happens between Alex and his parents. Dante makes a way to excuse Alex from his senior officers, so he could spend the night with them at the hotel. After taking their dinner, the father and son drink and talk about their realizations as soldiers.
Alex gazes at the breath-taking view by the balcony and notes that Mindanao is an attractive place. Dante shares the same sentiment, adding that the war and chaos only happen in a small portion of the entire province.
Due to his father’s persistence, Alex opens up on his bottled emotions about his failure to kill Abdul Waajid (Sid Lucero) in the recent operations. Dante reminds Alex that he isn’t the first soldier not to pull the trigger. Besides, what he feels is just a normal part of being a soldier and a human. Dante shares that he was also hailed as the best in his class but his first real mission surprisingly brought him fears he never thought he had. And if Alex feels that he is a failure, he always has the chance to get back up again and do better.
