While Dante (Rommel Padilla), Victor (Ariel Rivera), and Elmer (Vin Abrenica) are watching over Jethro (Elmo Magalona) in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Alex (Gerald Anderson) stays outside to make a phone call. In there, he witnesses the abduction of Congressman Sakili (Levi Ignacio). Alex dauntlessly tails the suspects’ vehicle until they reach the hideout. It turns out that the abductors are led by Hassan (Lorenz Martinez) who now works for Saal (Sid Lucero).
Alex contacts his father for rescue but instead of calling the police, Dante decides to head to the alleged location to verify the report first, as though reluctant with Alex’s claims. Unfortunately, Alex’s tip would indeed appear erroneous as Hassan eventually frees the victim upon Saal’s instruction. Alex gets surprised upon seeing the place empty and he isn’t equipped with evidence to prove his narrative. Further, Congressman Sakili arrives in the hospital and acts as if nothing happened. Alex insists on what he witnessed but the Congressman denies the allegations of a cover-up. Dante goes mad at Alex for still trying to hold his ground. Later, Elmer says that he believes in Alex but it is a soldier’s duty to heed a superior’s final command.
The next day, Alex tries to gather evidence on the abduction. The CCTV camera on the hospital’s entryway isn’t working. But Alex is still able to get a hold of a vital footage courtesy of a nearby establishment. Two unidentified motorcycle riders attempt to dispatch Alex amid his investigations. He fortunately manages to fight back and be safe. It turns out that the perpetrators are Congressman Sakili’s henchmen.
Alex heads home and tells Dante that he is determined to conduct his own investigations. Dante detests his son’s intrusion until the argument turns to their personal issues. Alex hints at his suspicion towards Dante’s attempt to conceal the truth from him.
