Michael (Nash Aguas) goes to a quarry site upon receiving a text message from his mother telling him that his Tiyo Pinong has been missing for two days since going to the area for mining work. After receiving his update, his buddies led by Alex (Gerald Anderson) decide to help in the rescue operations even while out of official duty. While preparing their things in the barracks, the group notes the slight tension between Benjie (Yves Flores) and Phil (Jerome Ponce). The preceding scene showed Benjie accidentally landing his lips onto Phil’s cheek while helping him stand up, igniting awkwardness between them.
At the quarry site, Pinong is found lying helpless at the bottom of a towering pit. The bunch of soldiers works altogether in saving Pinong who quickly recovers from minor injuries.
The scene cuts to Alex coming home to his longing mother in Manila. He exchanges pleasantries with Grace (Claire Ruiz) who is doing a household chore that moment. Alex says tells Grace about the good changes in Elmer (Vin Abrenica)’s attitude. Minda dashes off from the kitchen to greet her son with a loving embrace. She then requests Alex to accompany her in the market.
After a quick run for cooking supplies, Minda brings Alex to Yasmin (Irma Adlwan)’s stall to have him introduced to her newfound friend. But Yasmin intentionally hides from the guests, knowing that Minda tagged her soldier son with her. Fatima (Nikki Valdez) faces Minda and says that her Ate Amarah is not around. Fatima’s mind travels back to the time when Alex almost got a clear shot of Saal (Sid Lucero) during an encounter.
While the mother and son are going back to the parking area, Minda couldn’t help but gush over Alex’s charm and kindness. She also talks good things about Yasmin’s group. A random guy rushes to the opposite direction and bumps into Minda. A furious Alex calls the man’s attention but Minda opts to just dismiss the incident. The episode ends with a glimpse of the identity of the man who turns out to be none other than Saal.
