Dante (Rommel Padilla) heads back to Mindanao to clear up the puzzling motive behind a recent shooting attack from Abdul Waajid (Sid Lucero). The authorities are bothered by Abdul Waajid’s intention to assassinate Dante, thinking that the terrorist leader had put his calculated moves aside to make a reckless crime. The army assumes that Abdul Waajid has a flaming anger towards Dante and the latter is determined to find out why.
At the archives section in the camp, Dante and Colonel Fontiveros (Nor Domingo) check the records of the terror group leaders killed by Dante; assuming that Abdul Waajid might be the son of a former enemy. The investigations lead to them to memories of a skirmish that took place at Opol, Misamis Oriental in 1997 where the rebel leader, Yosef Alhuraji was killed. Dante and Colonel Fontiveros recall that the body of Yosef’s eldest son was never retrieved while his youngest was taken under Dante’s custody and grew up as Alex (Gerald Anderson).
Meanwhile, Alex secretly probes on the incident as well. After thorough research and utilizing his IT skills, Alex is able to retrieve information confirming that Abdul Waajid and Saal Alhuraji are one and the same and the son of Yosef Alhuraji, the rebel who died under Dante’s hands. He immediately relays the information to his father. Dante displays a blank look on his face, both surprised and clueless of how to react.
